I only want to know which boat is the greatest for his price!!!! I don't have enough references!!! I ride behind a Session Si...pretty happy with but...
Thanks for your comments!!!

sidekicknicholas 01-21-2008 2:49 PM

Mobius XLV/LSV

XLV = starts 45k -- GG fully loaded 60k
LSV = starts 38k
Outback V = starts 32k

hard to beat on 08' V-drive for that, let alone one thats 23ft.

absoluteboarder 01-21-2008 2:53 PM

.......nick is right on the money....but I would now throw the centurion falcon into that mix....

biglap 01-21-2008 2:59 PM

the thing is that my friend want to change his malibu lsv for a better boat so... is it better than a malibu!!!???

chpthril 01-21-2008 3:00 PM

Any Tige www.tige.com They offer a 20' V and D drive, a 21'V-drive, 22' DD, 2 22' V-drives and 2 24' V-drives

Very solid boats with great handling and performance. Will handle rough water very well. Deep free-board for a safe, comfortable ride. Lots of seating and storage. Tige offers some great options that allow you to build the boat you want. Great power plant options. 3 yr warranty, life time replacement hull warranty.

Try to water test with the family, all the boats that you are interested in, and go with the one that best fits your needs. Good luck.

...o so your talking money is no object?......try maybe a new malibu......x-star....f23 tomcat......x-15....Vlx.......Super Air 230.....etc....

absoluteboarder 01-21-2008 3:23 PM

sidekicknicholas 01-21-2008 3:41 PM

shop back is wisconsin was selling a AIR230 for 65k... hard to beat that

biglap 01-21-2008 3:57 PM

we live in Quebec, Canada!!!

05elitevc4 01-21-2008 4:24 PM

Your not being really clear man...a malibu is a solid boat to begin with. I have a centurion air warrior and am very happy with the price that I paid and the performance that I get. To answer your question honestly you have to set some better parameters...

biglap 01-21-2008 4:43 PM

The only thing that I know is that he tried an air nautique and he was really impressed!!! He prefere our Session to!!! He want to change his malibu because of it!!!

johnsvt 01-21-2008 7:13 PM

I know a group of guys that own several different brands of boats - supra, tige, mc, nautique, and the dreaded 23lsv. From what they tell me when people are looking for a pull the mc and lsv are the ones that they flock to. The nautique(210) gets a lot of pulls but that wake is very love it / hate it.

Bayliner. Also look at Sears row boats - look at the 12 footer with a fractional horse power trolling motor.

biglap 01-22-2008 8:55 AM

mmmmm....

towboat_222 01-22-2008 9:09 AM

Falcon is a neat boat for the price

bigshow 01-22-2008 9:13 AM

For a small boat the Falcon feel big inside.

BIgLap, I looked at many boats before I bought my Sanger D215. The Malibu 21 Xti was my second choice. The Sanger was also less money for than the Malibu so for me it was a much better boat for the money. Each boat has features or layout that make it 'better' for different people's use. Sanger with a mid engine was better for me but it's not even Sanger's best selling boat, so it's not everyone's best boat for the money.
Find a way to spend time in a variety of boats. They're all different in layout, features and ride. Clarify what is most important for you in terms of space and then characteristics. For me it was handling, rough water ride, and rear facing seating. For you it might be much different. Decide on the size. What fits in your storage, and you can tow, and has enough interior space.
Good luck helping your friend. Much is personal preference.

biglap 01-22-2008 12:12 PM

For him and me, it's all about the wake!!!!

bmartin 01-22-2008 12:17 PM

If value is your primary factor, go for a 5 y.o. used ride. A few weeks back someone posted they just purchased their 03 Supra SSV for $28K. Thats a lot of wake for the $s.

jamieb 01-22-2008 5:41 PM

is that blue 23 ft malibu sold yet?

Thats a pretty solid option.

mvl 01-23-2008 2:30 PM

Dude, I don't think anyone would argue that if only for the wake and X-Star is 2nd to none. If you don't want to pony up for a new one...get an 03 or an 04 for around $50K.

riverside 01-24-2008 12:18 AM

amen mark.

raspy 01-24-2008 7:34 AM

x-star is DEF sick.
just throwing this out there.
what is wrong with a malibu? im kind of offended haha how is a vlx wake not good enough? unless your pro im 100% positive its all in your head man. when your getting to that much money the wakes are all sick dude thats for all brands. I know in Vernon there are some pros who rock the vlx. they are pro. you. not so much. SICK BRA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

shipyard 01-24-2008 2:58 PM

26lacefield 01-24-2008 4:41 PM

andrew- be careful with posting the price on that thing. if some people see it over that price anywhere they'll get on here and bit your head off for mis informing them. hahahahaha thats what they did to me.
