I am in the planning stage for building a slider. I have access to dock floats that are 2'x4'x20", 3'x4'x20", and 4'x5'x20". Since the floats are 20" tall, I would have the rail about 12" above the top of the floats. How wide do you need to be for stability? How far apart can they be placed?
