Are they still going to make the fish next year? I have been riding mine for 3 years now and it is time for a new one, love the board and am not so stoked on next year's models. <BR> <BR>Haven't seen it on any of the 08 threads.

I am a fisherman myself. I have put one in reserve. I think the fish is out/redesigned for 2008.

What is the most comparable board to the fish out there.

i found the shane to be similar, but grippier, and a little faster. Soft landings and tons of pop. <BR> <BR>Shane or 07 fish will be my board next year if there is no longer a fish.

Ryan - what size Fish do you need? I've got a handful of 07's.

I have an 133 06, ridden to heck and back, but still performs like new. All of the molded fins are a little tattered, but the board is still stiff and the edges are all together. <BR> <BR>I just scored a demo 07 and would let my 06 go for $100 plus shipping.

I ride the 33, but would like to check out lymans new shape first hand, and if I don't like that I will probably go with next years shane if there is no fish, don't see why they would discontinue it though, maybe a little tweak......

they discontinued it because it just didn't sell well. A lot of people thought it was a really worthy concept, but maybe it was just a bit ahead of it's time. <BR> <BR>The core wake riders represent a very small percentage of the market, and the fish was an absolute core rider's board.

Liquid are releasing a slider board, so that might be taking the fish out of the lineup. The new slider board is sick, I was watching Mikey Ennen session a crazy slider up in canada last weekend. Seemed to work really well, and he said nothing but good things about it, so i take his word for it

I think it is a great board. I dont know about the core comments though. I used to always carry an older cwb bebinners board in my boat but found that due to the width of the fish it made it alot easier for newbies to get up on. It is pretty loose but overall I thought it was a great board with great pop for a continous rocker. <BR> <BR>I know there are fish elements in the shane and ps3. Maybe LF thought that if the fish were not in the mix they could get those guys to spend more money on a shane or ps3.

Yeah, its not for everyone but I love it, so smooth and quick, soft landings, and nice consistent pop......... sad to see it go. Love the name as well with old school fish surfboards being my fav.

I have been riding a 137 all season and have progressed more on that board than any other I have ridden. I like the soft landings and the width, the pop is right and I like the looseness when ridden flat. If I had to replace it, I guess I would look at the Shane or the Marius.

Wouldn't the Obrien Vice be somewhat similar to the LF Fish? It's a super wide shape with molded fins in each corner and a massive progressive rocker. Hmmm?

I heart my fish! Its an 06 that i scored off ebay. Im a new rider this season, and ive come along way since July when i started. Its so easy to switch on and even behind my small I/O boat I can get pretty good air.
