hey can any one please tell me the correct term for a 313 is it
three one three,
three thirteen,
thirty one three
or is it all of the above?

thanks.

jsweat 04-28-2007 7:39 AM

it has been called the three one three and the three thirteen. and it is probably the sickest raley based move.

wakeslife 04-28-2007 7:55 AM

Thats a raley to fs 3?

srh00z 04-28-2007 8:05 AM

I have heard it three thirteen, there is nothing like Josh Sanders taking one of those out into the flats, I think that I have seen Murray throw some nice 313's also.

jsweat 04-28-2007 8:07 AM

parks used to do them all the time back in the late 90s and early 2000s, murray and gerry nunn are the only riders i still see throwin them and they through them huge

spin2win 04-28-2007 8:21 AM

ive seen adkinson do them huge as well

andy_nintzel 04-28-2007 8:23 AM

Adkinsons got a great 313! cant cheat that trick tho- you have to do a full, extended raley then then a three.

big_ed_x2 04-28-2007 8:36 AM

I always called it the 3 13.

There a cool guy Scott that I rode with a couple times,he posts here on WW.He does them all the time, clean and all the way in the flats.I think his WW name is Scott313.

dakid 04-28-2007 8:53 AM

it's three thirteen, as in john 3:13.

mkrueger313 04-28-2007 4:10 PM

my favorite trick... too bad i cant do it

dooie 04-28-2007 4:31 PM

travis osborne still dose them over here

fuller313 04-28-2007 6:03 PM

One of my Fav's. It really shows who is committed.

lives2wake 04-28-2007 7:53 PM

I find the Blind Judge to be a greater sign of commitment. Raley to bs 180.
If u catch an edge, ur fckd

hawk7 04-28-2007 7:59 PM

i did an accidental 313 [i pronounce three one three] today. except it was like, backwords, an off axis 360 to raley, and alllllmmmoooosttt landed, sooo close.

dooie 04-28-2007 8:47 PM

good luck with it Trevor. what is a Raley with a b/s 3?

dooie 04-29-2007 12:31 AM

a 540 is 515

hudd007 04-29-2007 2:52 AM

three one three. I want to sing that song. a one a east something something....anybody know that song????

antbug 04-29-2007 1:00 PM

dooie it's an s-bend

alanp 04-29-2007 2:41 PM

i think dooie is referring to a bs 3 instead of a fs 3, like the 313

mnwakerider 04-29-2007 5:03 PM

Nunn, has always been known for his 313s. He is given specific credit for it in Higher Education...

dooie 04-29-2007 11:16 PM

yes what alan said a raley with a b/s handle pass 360

jhgsupra 04-30-2007 3:05 AM

We saw Gerry Nunn pull one as his "Warm up trick" during his Back Yard Tour. Absolutely huge and unbelievable.

ronnyboy27 04-30-2007 9:09 AM

What's a 313? 360 to raley or raley to 360

bendow 04-30-2007 7:11 PM

raley then 360 when you bring it down

shaun_murray 04-30-2007 7:48 PM

the 3:13 came from an inside quote from Parks and myself back during a pro tour stop meeting probably somewhere around 97'. without going into too many details...we were sitting in a meeting after the prelims in shreveport when we used to ride with the ski course in our course and there were bouys everywhere. some riders were complaining about all the bouys especially this one particular one in the way and they were debating taking it out and parks and i sat in the back and looked at eachother at the same time and both said "I jumped the bouy." like in a no big deal joking manner. for some reason we picked the time 3:13 on our watches around that time, possibly because that was the time of the meeting, and we set our watches and alarms to 3:13 to go off at the same time and each day whereever we were we would pretend to jump the bouy at 3:13. pretty silly sounding, but everyone, including shane, his mom betty, my mom, my brothers, other riders etc...started setting their watches to 3:13 and jumping the imaginary bouy knowing everyone was doing the same thing no matter where they were. about that time parks came out to ride at my house and went for a raley f/s 360 and made it. I went out shortly after and did one too and we decided we needed to name it together and the 3:13 came about. so that wasn't so short, but i think that is the first time i remembered the full reason, so save that somewhere so i don't have to bore anyone else with that again.

cbk 04-30-2007 7:53 PM

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^Yeah, what he said.^^^^^^^^^^

Nice! Thanks for the history Shaun.

dooie 05-01-2007 3:56 PM

so does any one know what a raley with a handle pass b/s 360 when you bring it down?

zuka666 05-01-2007 4:17 PM
If its a hoochie to bs or fs 360 its a hoochie 313, so I figure its the same concept. Call it a blind 313.

(Message edited by Zuka666 on May 01, 2007)

garret_s 05-01-2007 4:40 PM

the history of the 313 is probably the coolest thing I have learned today. Maybe this week.

Thanks

fuller313 05-01-2007 10:04 PM

Hey Shaun- If you have any more insight on some other moves I'm sure all of us would be all ears.

Ex. S-bend (I heard Shannon Best named it)
911(Parks?)
scarecrow(Brannon Meek?)
KGB (Gregg Nacrason?)

These are just a few. If any move has as funny story as the 313 I would love to hear it.

dooie 05-01-2007 11:57 PM

maybe with the 911 they had to call the number so many times when he was trying it, they eventually called it the 911 haha

borka 05-02-2007 1:24 AM

Asking Ryan Siebring about KGB

dlwsrider 05-02-2007 10:06 AM

i want to know where skeezer and elephant came from

lostkgb78 05-02-2007 10:58 AM

S-bend (Shannon Best) named after the pipe in the back of an Australian Toilet. REALLY

911- (Parks) not sure?

Scarecrow - (Meek) not sure?

KGB - Gregg and I were racing to see who could do it first. Landed the same day. Afterwards we were brainstorming names. KGB was just a name we gave it as an inside joke. We thought it would be known as a blind mobe.

Skeezer (Byerly) not sure?

Elephant - (Necrason) I beleive because gregg did it as big as an elephant, could be wrong though...

fuller313 05-02-2007 12:08 PM

Hey Ryan, your KGB's looked sick. Are you still riding much these days?

shaun_murray 05-02-2007 4:52 PM

911- parks was doing them for the first time and sonja scheffler/weinacker said "parks you keep doing that thing and i'm gonna have to call 911."

dooie 05-03-2007 3:17 AM

well i was close!, how did 90210 get its name?

dooie 05-03-2007 11:47 PM

does KGB stand for any thing?

morgs 05-03-2007 11:53 PM

mnwakerider 05-03-2007 11:57 PM

dooie 05-04-2007 12:12 AM

don't know what those words are but now i know

lostkgb78 05-04-2007 1:37 AM

Paul- that's exactly what it stands for...

90210 - invented by Mark "Turtle" McNamara
A true toeside 540 s-bend

As I remember, this was a time where tricks were being invented left and right. Mark called it a 90210 as a joke.

morgs 05-04-2007 2:10 AM

Maybe some more info will help...

KGB (Komitet Gosudarstvennoy Bezopasnosti) is the Russian-language abbreviation for Committee for State Security. The KGB was the umbrella organization name for the Soviet Union's premier security, secret police, and intelligence agency, from 1954 to 1991.

Roughly, the KGB's operational domain encompassed functions and powers like those exercised by the United States' Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), the counter-intelligence (internal security) division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the National Security Agency, the Federal Protective Service, and the Secret Service in the United States, or by the twin organisations MI5 and MI6 in the United Kingdom. borka 05-04-2007 3:06 AM

-2Paul
Thats really it! Actually KGB was based in 1917. 1954 - its just official date. But now this organization named is FSB /Federalnaya Slujba Bezopasnosti/- Federal Service of Security...
FSS - good name for new trick...

(Message edited by borka on May 04, 2007)

bflat53212 05-04-2007 7:12 AM

Pete Rose, because when learning the trick you take a lot of diggers to the chest like your sliding head first like Pete Rose.

morgs 05-04-2007 11:07 AM

Lets throw a few more out there...see if anyone has more detail around why they were named that way...(apologies if they the answers have been posted before)

Krypt

Hoochie Glide

Oriental

Blind Judge

Batwing

Vulcan

Skeezer

Tootsie Roll

lostkgb78 05-04-2007 7:29 PM

here's the inventors - not sure about all the names

Krypt - not sure Byerly or Gator I think - If you can't figure out the meaning then you're smokin it.

Hoochie - Byerly or gator - same as above

Oriental - byerly - I think it's from skating

Blind Judge - Parks - Not sure

Batwing _ Scott Harwood or Shapiro - not sure

Vulcan - Parks - Parks is a huge treaky

Skeezer - byerly - not sure

Tootsie Roll - Shane - because he was like 11 when he named it.

wakeriderixi 05-04-2007 8:27 PM
