I am thinking about replacing my 2 barrel carb with a 4 barrel. I was wondering if any one has done this and if you noticed any significant change? Thanks for any comments

On your lawnmower?

You can, but the jetting needs to be dead on or you could burn up your motor.

Its a moped with a indmar 5.7L. Thanks for the input.

You would then need to get the carb, and intake that came with the same engine. I would also make sure the camshafts are the same. Of course the timing curve also comes into play then too. Otherwise, as I said above, you could damage your engine.

You will gain power, with your moped, and lose fuel economy, especailly wakeboarding, with a loaded boat. With a car you can actually gain fuel economy by going to a 4 barrel. I have done it tons of times in automotive applications, but never in a boat. The big difference is boats are constant load, so damage happens faster, and mixture is more critical.

Your welcome

I have a carb and intake for a Indmar 5.7. I also have the rest of the engine if you need any other spare parts (distributor, alt, pulleys, coil, etc...) I will cut you a smokin deal just to get the stuff out of my way. 865-755-4333 or Jwade@skiersc hoice.com
