I am about to pull the trigger on a BigAir H20 tower for my 96 Bayliner 2050. Anyone have this tower or have experience with it? I like the looks. I like the price. Will I like on my boat? Saw in another thread that someone complained about it being noisy - is that the case? Looking for informed opinions. Any hints on installation are GREATLY appreciated.

We had one on our '91 2050 Bayliner. Loved it. No problems at all, no noise, and we pulled BIG guys with it. There is a picture in the other thread.

(Message edited by soak_up_the_sun on April 27, 2007)

I have had one for about 4 years and have had no problems. I looked at them and Monster Tower and I thought the Big Air looked better for my boat. I don't think that you can go wrong with either. Installation isn't hard, just take your time, measure twice, etc. The stainless section was pretty hard to drill through, so I would make sure you have a regular drill, not the rechargable kind.

Mine is solid and quiet. No issues. I Second the drilling comment though.

We just used our tower for the first time this weekend and am completely happy with it. It's a solid tower and quiet. My 15 year old and I installed it over the winter on our 1998 Reinell 184. The drilling does take time. We went through two titanium bits to get the job done. Good luck...
