hey guys i need a surf rack. gimme some input on which ones are good. thanks.
I've got the Monster surf rack, and it's a killer rack for a GREAT price. Holds my Blue Lake and Red Chubbie (albeit not @ the same time) boards well, and will accomodate much thicker boards as well.
Check out http://wakeair.com. Wakeair make a lot off sick stuff!! I don't have there Surf rack, but I have always had Wakeair towers, racks, and light! They care about there product and it shows!!! Plus they are great guys and will take very good care of you. Talk to Brian. Later BG

Calvin,

There's a company based out of Idaho called dbot5... they make a rack that holds 2 surfboards if that's what you're looking for.

dbot5 website

Well-made product... I've used the racks before, and it's good stuff.
Calvin,
Have to help one of our sponsors from the INT Wakesurfing Series.
www.2nsane.com IMO the best and most versatile surfboard rack on the market handles all kinds of boards. Even thick surfstyle boards will work. Also allows a choice of mounting locations, tower, swimdeck and side deck of boat.
thanks everyone for your responses. if it helps any i have a 5'4" Fish from the guys at XBC so the rack will need to fit that board. rite now the 2insane racks are looking the most promising.
Calvin,
With that board you will have to be careful about pressure dents. I think that the 2nsane or the Shoreline flat rack on top of the tower would be the best to save your board. You should like the XBC board. I have surfed that board and I weigh 265 or so. Not really designed for my weight but surfable nonetheless. Gary is trying to get me to demo the Chubby 5'7"
Monster.....Hands down. They have the quick release and that is so nice.
can someone give me a link to the shoreline racks i cant seem to find them.
Monster for sure quick release is awesome
calvin - i can second the dbot5 stuff - add their surf rack that holds 2 boards and then strap-on to hold a third - i know for sure the strap-on holds the XBC.

Muji

The Dbot5 racks also have a quick release. It's nice to be able to easily remove the racks for towing or storage.
Check out DBot5 with their quick release so they don't come up missing, plus the piggyback system that lets you add a 3rd board rack on the bottom of their board rack so you can hold three boards on one rack.

(Message edited by jamie lamar on August 23, 2006)

I know that a Shredstixx will not fit in a Dbot5 without the extra piece I believe.
Lightning racks builds a solid one.

I just bought the DBot5 after checking all the advice on these pages and the manufacturer's sites. Bought it because it holds 2 boards or 3 with the add on so you only need one rack. Mounts really easy. It does hold my Shreddstix. Highly recommend.
The DBOT5 racks are awesome. Just got mine in, wake racks with the strap on surf rack attachment. Plus 2 sets of the lights.

Tim
dost the dbot5 rack come with wake racks? cus im lookin for just a surf rack. i already have wake racks.
Yes, they have a surf only rack too.

http://www.dbot5.com/

Under racks, the AXL. It is a surf only rack that holds two surf boards. It mounts at any angle and is also quick disconnect.

Tim

(Message edited by wetsounds1 on August 25, 2006)
