nice
i like the ballast set up, but the monster tower is not working for me. i dont think it lines up with the windshield at all. if the windshield was bigger like most new boats, the tower would match with the boat.
does anyone else agree with me on the tower?
|
He should have gotten a black powdercoated tower. Towers seem to look better when the match the windshield frame color imo.
|
I agree Sam, Don't like the tower .
|
i would have a diffrent tower to but the ballast and all of the custom stuff is pretty sweet considering he done it himself and that he didnt hire nobody

How about all the work my buddy did on his 2001?!
http://www.2froeses.com/sn2001

that's preety good but not as good as the link on top
|
Just you wait...he's not done yet! Not bad though for owning the boat for about 2 weeks.
|
i would definately not put the monster on there
and i would want to update the gauges and steering wheel to make it look more "modern"
the thing with the 2001's is they dont have much space for gear or people. and with it being such a small boat, it definately does not handle the chop well at all. other than that, i love 2001's. for lake use only, they are a kick ass boat!
|
I always wanted to add hard ballast tanks when I use to have a 2001. That is really awesome. I don't like the monsters on the 2001's either.
|
I have a 2001, and I have thought many times about doing the hard ballast setup, but there are a lot of times where I need that space.

Think about this- Where do you put the cooler? Behind the hard tank? Now it just eliminated a persons seat with no leg room.

To each his own, but no matter what I always end up with 6 people on the boat and with how small the 2001's are, I need all that space.

I am planning on a permanent hookup for the sacs for mine. The will each have a 3 foot hose comng off the sac and will plug into some permanently mounted plugs on the engine compartment. Now I can take them out when needed, and always have the pumps mounted in the bilge.
|
what they need is some sort of a hard tank that doubles as a seat. That would be slick.
