As a beginner what do I look for in Fin configuration. I noticed some of the boards have 3 on each end some have 1 on each end. What are the pros/cons and how do the boards behave differently?

Kirk,
Different boards are designed for different fin configurations. You can also change how a board rides by changing the fins. Are you looking to buy a board, or do you already have a board and thinking about changing the fins?

Skiing made me board,
Lyle
Chrome Dome Industries

I am looking to buy a board. Do boards with 3 fins handle better? different?
|
boards with three fins are more for advanced riders id say they feel slippery on transitions but once you master them they are the way to go id say, 2 fins are gonna be much more stable cause of there depth too, 3 fin boards have small fins and most two fin boards have longer curved fins, also carving and doing flat water tricks are much easier on 3 fin boards, ive got a belmont dna with 6 fins and i just take them off all together, i guess it all depends on your skillz man!!
