tyler_o 04-22-2005 9:15 AM

Ouch Joe, <BR> <BR>Those shots sure are discouraging. Did the delamination happen while riding open water or was there a rail involved?

jarrod 04-22-2005 9:20 AM

That picture was posted in 02. <BR> <BR>"KROWN WAKEBOARDS under new ownership!" <BR> <BR>That usually means changes

wazzy 04-22-2005 10:26 PM

I would imagine that they have something worth riding... they are building their team &amp; starting w/ Kyle Murphy....

kiss4002 04-23-2005 6:00 PM

I will help set the story straight: <BR> <BR>1st The Krown Royal that Joe continues to show is about 7 years old and was built back in WA. The new Krown stuff is built in the USA from a factory with over 15 years experience. <BR> <BR>Joe, send me that bad Royal and I will give you a new King 142. My E Mail is <a href="mailto:dj@xldist.com">dj@xldist.com</a> <BR> <BR>Whoever the guy is in CA, never contacted us about his bad board that supposidly broke after 3 runs, it must be old or he is in another world. If you have a bad board e mail me and I will send you a new board as well, again <a href="mailto:dj@xldist.com">dj@xldist.com</a> <BR> <BR>Krown has been rebuilt, it is under new ownership and yes they have a real team: Kyle Murphy, Derek Cook, Chris Ramirez, Rick Knott and Collin Wright just inked a deal as well, YES I SAID COLLIN WRIGHT. Jeremy, the original Krown owner does what he does best, design sick paint for all the boards. <BR> <BR>We offer a 2 year warranty, this year we have had about a 2% warranty rate which most of the bad boards originated from heavy rail riding. <BR> <BR>We stand behind our products, our team and company. Seems like allot of people won't let go of the past. <BR> <BR>I want give a shout out to the people who are giving the new Krown props ! Oh yeah, we are looking for Team Members, if you think you can hang shoot me an e mail.

alanp 04-24-2005 12:25 AM

well im seriously thinking about the dome. im looking to put my dollars into something other than lf and hl(i dont have anything against them and own or have owned many of their boards). i like to see smaller companies do well and it only helps the board market(prices) when others companies are manufacturing product. <BR>congrats on the new team.

fullonsalesgrp 04-24-2005 8:35 AM

Hey Dj and Rob at XL I like what I am seeing I look forward to see the new molds of the signature boards. I have liked your philosiphy on boards and marketing I wish you the best of luck an look forward to seeing the whole thing come to frution. <BR>ITCH

tripleup 04-24-2005 2:02 PM

One of my best friends rides for Krown and he loves it. I ride his board the past weekend and it ahs more pop and lighter than any board that I have ever seen (ive seen a lot of boards being a dealer) I just ordered 12 of them. He did break one but that was jumping off of a 5 ft. kicker doing a 35 ft. land gap. hey are sick boards.

tripleup 04-24-2005 2:09 PM

When "I" say I mean Deep South Riders email Sam from deepsouthextreme.com and we can get you on a demo if you are close to central mississippi.

partydock17 04-24-2005 3:55 PM

Joe did you send me an e-mail? <BR>My comp wouldn't let me read it.

denwakebdr 04-24-2005 8:52 PM

I have never ridden a krown but I ride a board from the same shaper...My board seems unbreakable...and I am 270 lbs.

oldschoolripper 04-25-2005 12:36 AM

I cant speak for the quality as of now, but the graphics on these bad boys is TIGHT Playa! <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/225185.jpg" alt=""> <BR>KROWN~~~RIDE LIKE A KING <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR>Shot out to my boy Andrew in the above pic taken this weekend at LSF in Monroe LA <BR>

sacdeep 04-25-2005 12:37 AM

Those are my pics that that Joe posted and actually that was a Brotherhood 143 with Krown Royal graphics that I purchased from Travis the former owner himself. Also I did contact Krown. Once I saw the first ad in Wakeboard Mag and the person said he couldnt help me get a new one but if I got a pro shop to order me one all I would pay is cost. I felt I had better options out their so I decided against it. I dont have the board because it was just taking up space. I've got pictures, video, and people to prove the snappage and the comedy that happen afterwards

vandal 04-25-2005 8:50 PM

there are horror stories out there for every board company. I have had binding inserts pull out of my Hyperlites while riding, LF's snap in half, CWB's delam horribly, GB's have had a couple different things go wrong. With as many boards as these companies put out, of course something is bound to go wrong no matter how good they are supposed to be. I wish Krown the best of luck and I hope they take a good chunk out of the asses of the big boys.

kiss4002 04-25-2005 9:38 PM

Vandal - spoken true <BR> <BR>Thanks for the props and telling it how it is. <BR> <BR>I offered to give the guy a brand new board today and no e mail back <BR> <BR>Anyway - KROWN IS BACK we are ready to go after the BIG GOLIATH COMPANY that is LF, HL, DU, CWB, BS, J Star,Hardline and who knows who else they own <BR> <BR>Our Future Will have us bringing big name riders to Krown and a Big Name binding line to Krown as well. We are addig riders and plan to have a team of 20 by Surf Expo

mango 04-25-2005 9:47 PM

KROWN is GHETTO! <BR> <BR>CWB 4 Life <img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/blush.gif" border=0> <BR> <BR>~DMC~

sacdeep 04-26-2005 2:43 AM

Yes I did recieve DJ's email today and I did take him up on his offer (who wouldnt) and that was very gratcious of him. I am not going to say Krown is the greatest, but I will say if you got people like DJ behind this product then its definately the step in the right direction

low 04-26-2005 6:53 PM

I heard that you Krown might be signing Brian Francis. Is that true?

kiss4002 04-26-2005 9:22 PM

CWB Makes great products, they are one of the industry innovators. Mango I think it is great that you support CWB through and through, all of the brands in our business needs devoted end users like you.

kiss4002 04-26-2005 9:26 PM

Kyle Murphy last weekend in Mexico, on a Krown <BR> <BR> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/225618.jpg" alt="Kyle Murphy Riding Like A King">

scott_c 04-27-2005 6:55 AM

I've heard nothing but great marks about these boards, its got tons of pop and to {THE ONE AND ONLY MIKE JONES}sweet pic keep posting all of those sick pics from LSF :FO SHIZZLE:

partydock17 04-27-2005 8:21 AM

Krown also sells skateboards. <BR>I think there made by element. <BR>Pretty sweet though. <BR>Quality board, cheap price on the skates. <BR>Were going to bring some in at the shop.

oldschoolripper 04-27-2005 6:59 PM

Nice shot of Kyle DJ. <BR> <BR>Ridin' like a King. <BR> <BR>Shelby D

magellan 04-28-2005 8:15 AM

Kyle's board looks just like my Transcend..

tripleup 04-28-2005 6:57 PM

transcend aint got shiz on that board. althiugh I like the transcend there just no comparison in weight and pop to any of the krown boards. If anybodys in the south and wants to come ride for a weekend and take the KROWN CHALLENGE call me 601-260-0420

kiss4002 04-28-2005 7:50 PM

Kyles board is NOT the TRANSCEND ! Kyle created the board from scratch based off of his likes and dislikes. <BR> <BR>The shape is all his, from the rails to the fins. <BR>

wazzy 04-28-2005 8:28 PM

Collin!?!?!?!?!!!!!..... What about CWB (Collin Wright Wakeboards???)

dakid 04-28-2005 8:46 PM

as long as it rides well, people will rave about it. they don't give a rat's ass who designed it. <BR> <BR>and krown people, relax...people are allowed to see similarities between 2 boards. no need to get defensive.

scott_a 04-28-2005 10:30 PM

are there any dealers in nor-cal? talk is cheap.

sacdeep 04-29-2005 1:10 AM

Scott a if I get the Krown King I'll let ya have a whirl on it

jeff206 04-29-2005 2:34 AM

well being from Washington I will now never buy a krown seeing as how I just got told I'm not a part of the USA. just kidding but what was that about you never responded to joe

partydock17 04-29-2005 7:19 AM

Scott: <BR>We are about to have krown up on our website, in a few days. <BR>You can check them out at <a href="http://www.okcboardshop.com" target="_blank">www.okcboardshop.com</a> <BR>

partydock17 04-29-2005 9:42 PM

I have the boards, but not the bindings up.

mcculloughrg 04-30-2005 10:09 PM

I was at a small fun tourny last year here in Colorado, and a guy had a couple of krowns he demoed in the tourny. He was impressed with the pop, and the way they handled. I was impressed by the graphics. Thats one thing that realy stood out and I don't like many of the graphics that most of the big daddy manufacturers have out today. Good luck DJ, I plan on looking at Krown's line of boards this year. Hope to see you at the mile high meet and greet. Hopefully we can get some boards to demo. I think this will be a great chance for Krown to get noticed locally.

ruffneckrider 05-01-2005 10:44 AM

Well I should be getting mine soon so I will have to let everyone know what's up w/ Crown !

gageg 05-09-2005 7:43 AM

I just bought the Krown Royal 138 and cannot find fins. I bought the board off of ebay and it did not come with any. Does anyone know where to get them?

tripleup 05-09-2005 7:59 AM

email DJ who has posted on this thread

gageg 05-09-2005 8:15 AM

also, I just talked to Rob at the Krown company and he said that a lot of shops are trying to find this board to put up in shops and had offered top dollar for it, if anyone wants to make an offer on it to me, I would possibly be interested in selling it. It is the Krown Royal 138, with the velvet bag. It has never been ridden but is a blemish board. It has two small dents on the top of the board, but they can barely be seen
