I am going to upgrade my old school tower from 4 years ago to one of these towers, <a href="http://www.bigairpylons.com/Tower.htm" target="_blank">http://www.bigairpylons.com/Tower.htm</a> <BR>or <BR><a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&amp;category=23807&amp;item =7129815174&amp;rd=1" target="_blank">http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&amp;category=23807&amp;item =7129815174&amp;rd=1</a> <BR> <BR>What one would you choose? <BR>Big air pylons or wake air <BR>They are about the same money. <BR>Ken

hmm..hard to say. I like how the big air's legs come out for lower height for storage. but that could mean rattles? I'd try and get some advice from people that have actually used them. If you can get the wake air and it's custom made for your specific boat I'd like that a more. I assume you're going for the more "swoop" style but don't forget monstertower.com or titan towers. Rock solid and each has a tower down in the same price point.

Here is an easy way to compare a few more: <BR> <BR><a href="http://www.wakeside.com/wakeboard_tower_comparison_top.htm" target="_blank">http://www.wakeside.com/wakeboard_tower_comparison_top.htm</a> <BR> <BR>Mike

Man! Great job on the restoration. One of the cleanest Bayliners I have seen!

ccwhite 01-28-2005 5:32 AM

IMO the Big Air has better looks

mrward77 01-28-2005 8:01 AM

i bought a wake air and a guy down the street has a big air....no comparison. the wake air is custom, stiff, and the mounts are the best. <BR>

wakeside1 01-28-2005 9:39 AM

Sorry, I posted the wrong URL for the tower comparison chart. Here is the right one: <BR> <BR><a href="http://www.wakeside.com/wakeboard_tower_comparison" target="_blank">http://www.wakeside.com/wakeboard_tower_comparison</a> <BR> <BR>Mike

Wakeside <BR>aren't you located in oregon city ? <BR>I am in Gresham if come down to your store Do you have towers in stock? <BR>

wetirish 01-28-2005 4:05 PM

I have a BigAir and used it all of last summer with no problems. It's built strong and solid no squeaks at all. I think the BigAir would fit the lines of your boat and windshield better. Rene' at BigAir will give you great customer service!

i personally like the looks of the monster tower. however i wouldnt upgrade a tower, yours looks great. just get an ipod or some more tower speakers if youve got something burning a hole in your pocket.

mikeski 01-29-2005 9:42 AM

Is there a problem with the current tower?

wakeside1 01-29-2005 12:08 PM

Ken, <BR> <BR>We used to be in Oregon City. We moved to a new building with bigger warehouse and offices in Clackamas on Hwy 212. <BR> <BR>We only have universal towers in stock. Many of the towers that we sell are custom towers made for specific boats. We get them made from either the year/make/model information if a template is available for the boat, or from boat measurements. <BR> <BR>I wouldn't recommend to upgrade your tower. It really doesn't look bad and you will need to do gel coat repair. <BR> <BR>I agree with Alan that you could add new tower speakers and maybe racks (couldn't see them in your photo). <BR> <BR>Mike

cla17 01-29-2005 1:18 PM

Yeah, I think it looks great as is. Leave it alone, its not worth the $$$ to make it look the same??? Save the $$$ for gas and beer <IMG SRC="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/happy.gif" ALT=":-)" BORDER=0>

kenteck 01-29-2005 2:00 PM

The Tower is just to square, only one bar across the top, no style to it, all the cool towers came out after I got this one.... <BR>But you guys are right I will just live with it. Towers don't make a person board better <img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/wink.gif" border=0> <BR>Thanks though for the advice

poser007 01-30-2005 4:26 PM

I think your tower loooks fine. You really did a great job restoring the boat.

monstertower 01-30-2005 6:30 PM

Gotta agree with the above advice, upgrading a tower could become a major project if you have holes to patch, etc - and it's likely not going to add any additional value to your boat. Looks like a nice setup and enjoy it until your ready to move to a different boat. <BR> <BR>I think that's the SkyJac tower and I've never heard anything bad about it. If you have some extra coin than make sure you have a great board &amp; bindings, rope and vest and fat sacs and . . . they will all make a true difference in your riding, a different tower would only be a style thing.

ridn9high 01-31-2005 1:58 AM

Like everyone said it looks fine. Thought you might of had a problem with the tower. A new tower will make you ride better, Schwenne told me this. J/K. Take your money buy gas,a board or lessons. Leave your tower on, don't need a new one for a fashion statement. <BR> <BR>IF you want to show off make it be by skills and not with what you bought. <BR> <BR>(Message edited by ridn9high on January 31, 2005)

If you haven't seen the Pro Flight Little chubby then don't make a decision on a tower until you check it out.
