I am looking into purchasing one @ the end of winter for early spring riding. Our lake is for the most part frozen so it will be a nice cold spring wakeboarding season. I am looking @ the O'neill Boost or the O'neill Throttle 3/2 Drysuit......Both are around $379.00 and I would like to spend less......Any info appreciated!! Thanks

big_xstar 01-26-2005 8:26 AM

I would go with the oneil boost--more mobility and
can wear clothes underneath, plus you dont have to wear boardshorts over the lower half of the neoprene bottoms.
love my o'neill boost except i wish the neck wasn't so tight but i guess it has to be.

mango 01-26-2005 8:29 AM

look into the BARE drysuit as well if you want to spend less money.

sylv2080 01-26-2005 9:31 AM

thanks for the info guys.....I did look into the Bare suit but it is only like $60 bucks difference in price $319 versuses $379. And I am just curious as to if the Boost suit is worth the extra money....I also found a Gladiator suit for like $229 which looks alright.....let me know. I live in PA so I won't need it anymore then maybe a month in the spring and about 2-3 weeks in the fall. But I want to buy a good one so I don't regret it later........biggest issue is proving to the wife that it is worthwhile!!!!!! HAHA

just found the website before reading this....and yes it has the - between grizzly and sports..Thanks Pierce and thanks to Gary. I will probably order it shortly b/c that is a great price compared to other sites. Cheers!

Most dealers that are carrying BARE on their website and are putting up prices are required to advertise the Ultra Dry at $315. (Most mfg have minumum advertised price policies) Of course, you can always call the shop to see if they are running any in store sales.

mango 01-26-2005 11:56 AM

grizzly-sports always has good deals. I got my Parks Carbon Handle & Accurate rope from them for real cheap.

sylv2080 01-26-2005 12:01 PM

yeah I was on their site but everything that is on closeout you have to call them to findout if they have it.....plus I read on one of their links that they are not doing free shipping on those items at this time..... hmmmmm

ghostrider_2 01-26-2005 2:51 PM

What do you guys think of the dry suits on ebay good deals or not?

sylv2080 01-26-2005 3:44 PM

I only saw like 4 of them and none of them would fit me.....I need a ML or a L and the one nice BARE Ultra was a medium.....but I have bought tons of watersports stuff off ebay...just shop around and be patient and you will find what you want

wakeboarder408 01-26-2005 6:01 PM

Brandon, I too bought my Bare Ultra from Grizzly. I ordered 2, for me and my friend and it came out to be $240 each with shipping cuz RV gave me a discount for buying 2. I did run into a problem with the zippers though. The teeth on the zippers had a defect so the teeth didnt match up nicely so it was leaking. It wasnt Grizzlys fault so i dealt with it directly with Bare and got a brand new replacement and i received it in 2 weeks.

sylv2080 01-26-2005 6:44 PM

Cool, thanks Mark.....I will look into getting in touch with Grizzly and maybe buying one for my wife also....Thanks everyone!

boarditup 01-27-2005 6:23 AM

sylv2080 01-27-2005 6:40 AM

WOW, these just keep getting better and better.....Karl is that a Bare Ultradry???????

I have to say that I envy all of you who can wakeboard year round!!!! VERY MUCH!!! I only get from April-October MAYBE into November

boarditup 01-27-2005 10:38 AM

Ocean Tec - American made, not foreign. Compare the OT to the Bare side by side, and I bet you will think the OT is just as good or better.

Check me out in my free advertising.
