Hello Deltaite's

A small group of us from Seattle are going to be heading down to the Delta to visit Christie Fisher and do some riding Nov 20-21.

I've been skunked the last two times I was down there, once due to timing, and the second you guys had the worst rain storm in twenty five years. This time, I don't care if there's a fricken hurricane, I'm riding the Delta.

We'd love to meet some of you guys if your interested in hooking up.

dakid 10-27-2004 11:55 AM

hey, i wanna go!

jarrod 10-27-2004 1:17 PM

I'm down to hook up and bring my boat out. I'll try to coordinate with Christie as we get closer.

Hit me:
510.213.1820

seattle 10-27-2004 5:49 PM

Umali,

It would be great to ride the Delta with you. My only fear is whenever your in Christie's boat, something always seems to go wrong.

J-Rod,

That sounds great, I'll give you a call when I get a chance.

dakid 10-27-2004 5:51 PM

that's fine. the delta isn't like seattle where it's impossible to get a pull. i'll be in someone else's boat!

wake_upppp 10-27-2004 5:57 PM

It's the curse of the Umalino!!

dakid 10-27-2004 6:01 PM

well, the curse only seems to happen when fisher and i are in the same boat.

seattle 10-27-2004 6:18 PM

Umali,

You never missed an invite on my boat.

Why don't you drag your but up there for the weekend.

dakid 10-27-2004 6:29 PM

we'll see. the problem is the following weekend, which is thanksgiving weekend, the girlfriend and i are headin' up to south dakota to spend the holiday with her family. so i'm not so sure she's going to want to travel on the road one weekend, and fly the following weekend. we'll see tho.

jinxton 10-27-2004 9:45 PM

Joe if I'm going to make the the from Vegas, the least you can do.........Or are you whipped????
J/K
I'll know tomorrow if I can get the time off, right now I'm too amped right now for the Red Soxs to think of anything else

cfisher 10-27-2004 9:50 PM

Everyone cross their fingers for perfect Delta weather for Cliff's virgin delta run (hmmmm...can Cliff and Virgin be used in the same sentence??)

Joe - You guys should come up, but you and I will have to ride in separate boats for sure! I know Henry probably doesn't want us in his boat together ever again!!

J-Rod - shoot me an email and we will coordinate!

thor 10-28-2004 8:12 AM

I'm there. I've been real busy since moving to Sacramento and would love to get back on the water that weekend. I'll either bring my boat down or talk to Mark about going out on his boat that weekend. I'm sure that Christie will be riding both days, but is there one day versus the other that everyone would like to meet up? I'm assuming that everyone will be meeting at Orwood.
Let's hope for great weather that weekend. It should be fun.

mikemcmill 10-28-2004 10:18 AM

JOe you can come in my new boat buddy... it wont break down

peter_c 10-28-2004 10:24 AM

deltahoosier 10-28-2004 10:25 AM

You better start knocking on wood Mike.

wakelvr 10-28-2004 10:59 AM

Ja and I will also be around and can offer the X if needed for pulls. Otherwise we'll mooch off of Fisher or Marky Mark or something;-)

dakid 10-28-2004 11:12 AM

thanks mike!

speedy 10-28-2004 1:17 PM

I have the whole weekend off, but the wife might have other plans. I'll see if I can talk her into sticking around. Should I heat the hot tub?

Mark

deltahoosier 10-28-2004 2:15 PM

I might even bust the boat out of the garage for such a festive event.

seattle 10-28-2004 2:25 PM

WOW!

No wonder you like the Delta so much Joe. It's a Boat Whore's paradise.

Thanks for the interest folks, we're looking forward to meeting as many fellow Wakeworlder's as possible while we're down there.

lehmur 10-28-2004 3:27 PM

I'll be there and will have my boat available if it's needed.
Look forward to seeing you guys again Cliff.
wakelvr 10-28-2004 3:28 PM

Marky Mark, you don't waste any time do you?

Christie, you may want to warn the Seattle crew about what goes on at Mark's!
thor 10-28-2004 4:13 PM

Mark's house = drunk people.
Mark's hot tub = Naked people!
Naked people = ???

dococ 10-28-2004 11:21 PM

Ol' doc sure would be appreciative if anybody has room for one more. New job's been keeping me busy, so I'd love to get out and see everybody!! Thanks, ya'll!!

dakid 10-28-2004 11:31 PM

wakeworld members = married couples (lots of 'em anyway)

jarrod 10-29-2004 8:00 AM

Doc. You're more than welcome on my boat for this trip.

We're riding tomorrow too if you want to come out.

5102131820

thor 10-29-2004 3:05 PM

I didn't realize that married people didn't drink or get naked, my bad. Oh wait, I'm a married person, Hmmmmm...

deltahoosier 10-29-2004 4:00 PM

I just drink thank you very much...

seattle 10-29-2004 4:01 PM

Hey,

Doesn't the same saying apply while visiting the Delta that applies when one is in Vegas???

Christie,

Should I bring my fire jumping gear?

jaegermaster 10-29-2004 4:33 PM

Hey Cliff, is the Chicken going to the Delta too?

solo 10-29-2004 4:39 PM

Joe:

"wakeworld members = married couples (lots of 'em anyway)"

That includes you now almost. Going back east to meet the family is a pretty big step! Next thing you know there will be little Umali Groms rollin around! Lol!

dakid 10-29-2004 4:46 PM

uh, i don't see no ring on her finger!

your right rob...what was i thinkin'...it's absolutely cool for married people to get nekked with other people. it's when people start throwin' lines, then there's a problem. lines, such as, "hey...you got it goin' on!"

cfisher 10-29-2004 5:53 PM

Cliff - The fire jumping gear was really cool for sure, but I think it is time to think of a new line. I'm sure you have one in you!

dococ 10-31-2004 8:00 AM

J-Rod,
Thanks, man! That would be way cool. I'll give you a call closer to the time. It will be a fun day for sure with all the regulas plus the Seattle boys.

kevin_bird 10-31-2004 9:23 AM

Id like to go out, sounds like a good time.

mikeski 10-31-2004 5:17 PM

It was beautiful yesterday at Ultimate Water Sports demo day. Water temp was 62, air temp was 68. Both will probably drop another 5 in the next couple weeks, unless we have a hot spell.

jarrod 11-01-2004 9:18 AM

Kevin, you're welcome on my boat too. I left you a message Friday.

seattle 11-01-2004 1:33 PM

Mike,

I'll ride like I've died, and gone to heaven if those are the conditions when we're down there.

We rode Saturday afternoon, Water 52, air 50, and we considered it a warm day for this time of year.

tammy1 11-01-2004 5:00 PM

Joe it depends who you ask.......

By Joe Umali (dakid) on Thursday, October 28, 2004 - 11:31 pm:

wakeworld members = married couples (lots of 'em anyway)

bond 11-03-2004 2:26 PM

seattle 11-08-2004 2:20 PM

dakid 11-08-2004 2:29 PM

jarrod 11-15-2004 10:24 AM

Look like I won't be able to make it this weekend. Something important has come up.

Doc and Cliff: Sorry for the inconvenience.

migitty 11-15-2004 10:35 PM

Cliff,

My boat is going in the shop this Wednesday but I would like to hook up. If anyone has some room, it would be appreciated. However, there is an off chance that I'll be headed to Tahoe for the weekend. Wont know until later in the week.

Hope all is well. For me, things have never been better,

-Matt
dakid 11-15-2004 11:22 PM

seattle 11-16-2004 5:15 PM

kevin_bird 11-16-2004 10:29 PM

tcluv85 11-16-2004 10:32 PM

Cliff/Jeff -

I hope you guys have fun down. I will surely miss going out with you guys on Saturday. Get lots of riding in.

At least Brad has meds to make it through the nice weather this weekend here in Seattle without going out on the boat. Maybe he can share some with me to help me get through it. I will be here dreaming of that w2w I still haven't made.

dakid 11-16-2004 10:48 PM

seattle 11-17-2004 12:51 PM

OOh...OOOh...OOh

http://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/findweather/getForecast?query=stockton+Ca.

I'm finally going to get to ride the Delta.

dakid 11-17-2004 12:55 PM

you better hope wind doesn't pick up.

seattle 11-17-2004 1:04 PM

No thermals this time of year. I'v done my homework.

dakid 11-17-2004 1:06 PM

hahahaha! just messin' with you.

cfisher 11-17-2004 9:56 PM

Our weatherman announced this morning that it is going to be WINDY but clear this weekend. Let's hope he is WRONG on the windy part
dococ 11-17-2004 10:06 PM

We better bring plenty of liquor. Depending on which forecast you believe, calling for 9-16 mph winds out of Brentwood. That's usually enough to keep me home even in the summer, but oh well, have to suck it up when the Seattle crew is in town!

dakid 11-17-2004 10:27 PM

<!-quote-!>quote:
That's usually enough to keep me home even in the summer<!-/quote-!>

please, let there be 9-16mph winds!!!

just kidding doc! hope to see some of your sick riding out there.

dakid 11-17-2004 10:57 PM

ok, i'm assuming everyone's meeting at orwood? what time?

wakelvr 11-18-2004 9:14 AM

We can't make it on Saturday but will be heading out Sunday. I know Christie plans on heading out Sunday, will anyone else be out on Sunday? We'll be in our boat, full crew:-)

Cliff, R U riding Sunday too? I hope to meet you guys...

dakid 11-18-2004 10:35 AM

well, i just got some bad news. henry's my pull and lodging for this weekend. but his mom went in to the hospital and had emergency surgery yesterday, so he's comin' down here to see her.

anyone have room for 2? if not, no big deal. we'll hook up next time.

thanks.

dakid 11-18-2004 11:15 AM

ok, disregard request. i'm going to stay here. if my friend needs me, i want to be around for him, my best friend in the world.

flame on. call me "no show joe" or whatever.

cfisher 11-18-2004 12:49 PM

Saturday at Orwood at 9:00 a.m. Sunday, we haven't set a time yet.

Joe, send my love to Hen-Dawg and let him know that I hope is Mom is OK.

twakess 11-18-2004 12:54 PM

Yes, Joe tell Hen-Dawg I will say a pray for his mom.

dakid 11-18-2004 4:53 PM

henry said thanks!

got an update. hen-dawg's mom's doing ok. she's able to talk to hubby and family. they took out an 8' section of her colon. liver seems to be a concern right now, but no definite diagnosis yet. doc said she's ok, but not completely out of the woods.

pray for mom-dawg.

dococ 11-18-2004 8:10 PM

Oh, you make funny joke... I get it!! Ha Ha

My thoughts go out to Henry's mom and the whole fam. Here's to a strong recovery!

jarrod 11-19-2004 7:21 AM

Good luck with the wind guys. I just heard something about 35mph gusts on the AM news. Hopefully those gusts don't hit the delta.

wakehound 11-19-2004 8:47 AM

It's supposed to calm down on Sunday.

jarrod 11-19-2004 8:59 AM

Hopefully you're right and this is wrong:

http://www.crh.noaa.gov/forecasts/CAZ007.php?warncounty=CAC013&city=Brentwood
wakelvr 11-19-2004 9:20 AM

Worse case, we can all meet up for lunch and kick it:-)

Who did the wind dance?

migitty 11-19-2004 11:20 AM

I'm showing winds at 10-15 for Saturday. That's not bad. You'll find plenty of good places to ride.

Christie and Cliff, thanks for trying to hook me up but I have a rather full weekend. Next time. Hopefully, that will be at Shasta Lake some time this summer.

Have a great trip. Enjoy the water!

Best regards,

Matt Paquette
