THe website now has a link "view the competition," but when you click on it, it doesn't open. HELP!

<a href="http://www.webcastus.com/prowakeboardtour.htm" target="_blank">http://www.webcastus.com/prowakeboardtour.htm</a> <BR> <BR>I'm watching it right now.. <BR> <BR>Pretty cool.

bross 05-01-2004 9:26 AM

Did you have to install anything or did you just click on the link?

bbr 05-01-2004 9:31 AM

Yeah I can't see it either, what gives?

kristian 05-01-2004 9:37 AM

I got it, but not working so well with my not-so-high-speed internet. Its running on Windows Media player, do you guys have that? <BR> <BR>(Message edited by kristian on May 01, 2004)

bbr 05-01-2004 9:42 AM

Yeah I have it, and I have high speed, it trys to open, then the box closes and nothing.

bbr 05-01-2004 9:59 AM

My computer sucks a fat one, I re-downloaded it and now I have an internal error. Damn, not gonna work.

fullonsalesgrp 05-01-2004 10:08 AM

I am running windows is there anyway to open it in another media player, its really grainy. <BR>

deepstructure 05-01-2004 10:55 AM

im running wm9 and it says it cannot open the file.

deepstructure 05-01-2004 11:00 AM

nm - it was my firewall. what's up with the camera work? friggin' all over the place! but very cool that we can watch it live.

magellan 05-01-2004 11:12 AM

I have DSL, running WMP and it is streaming perfect. <BR>Best runs so far... <BR>Trevor Hansen, Struharik, Shapiro killed it. <BR>Rusty Malinowski rode awesome but fell once. <BR> <BR>Sharpe fell twice. <BR>Shane did maybe three tricks total. <BR>Grassman kiled but fell once. <BR>Tino fell.

deepstructure 05-01-2004 11:27 AM

man if only i could reach thru the internet and smack the camera person...

magellan 05-01-2004 11:28 AM

I'm with you. <BR>Who the hell is filming???? A drunk five year old???

deepstructure 05-01-2004 11:29 AM

seriously...give that person a tripod!!

fullonsalesgrp 05-01-2004 11:35 AM

is it just the internet compression that makes the video grainy?

magellan 05-01-2004 11:53 AM

It is so political that Sharpe got in. <BR>Hyperlite owns the tour....

fullonsalesgrp 05-01-2004 11:57 AM

when are they going to let wake skate go behind the m/c. <BR>I think they don't just to keep sea-doo as a sponser <BR>itch <BR>

fullonsalesgrp 05-01-2004 11:58 AM

rusty got robbed f'n hyperlite bias chad fell twice <BR>itch <BR>gb <BR>

magellan 05-01-2004 12:11 PM

Same thing every year dude. <BR> <BR>Rusty's run was so much better than Sharpe's. Plus Chad fell twice.. <BR> <BR>I hate the tour.

forwaken 05-01-2004 12:13 PM

Parks throwing almost everything switch was pretty sick Hyperlite rider or not!

forwaken 05-01-2004 12:16 PM

And I agree Sharpe should not have advanced. Everything will be political when there is human judgement. That is just the way it will be. <BR> <BR>Soven's run was the poop too.

magellan 05-01-2004 12:44 PM

WOW <BR>Wakeskating is terribly boring.

kristian 05-01-2004 1:13 PM

Ok maybe someone can help me out. I have ADSL and I get about 2-3 seconds of good footage then it justs starts freezing/jumping. Is it just my sucky conection?

team_o 05-01-2004 1:37 PM

Must be - I have DSL &amp; it works fine... <BR> <BR>Except, as others have said, the CAMERA WORK SUCKS! It's like the dude doesn't know people are watching or something. <BR> <BR>Hopefully this is a learing experience and there will be improved coverage to come - it is a cool idea...

teamvaldez 05-01-2004 1:41 PM

Hi wikedee!! I agree, check this out! <BR><a href="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/1/168127.html?1083381203" target="_blank">http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/1/168127.html?1083381203</a>

projectely4 05-01-2004 5:08 PM

was at the tournament today and will hopefully have a video done tonight of the footage i got

wakejunkeygirl 05-01-2004 5:31 PM

Just got back,,,got some good footage too. <BR>Saw Dave and Bill J and Bess Marine! <BR> I saw the camera up top, looked a little shakey! <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/uhoh.gif" border=0> <BR>

deepstructure 05-01-2004 6:11 PM

angi - was the camera remote controlled or was someone actually operating it?

wakejunkeygirl 05-01-2004 7:20 PM

Chris--If I was seeing the correct camera, I saw two guys controlling the camera at different times..but it was not being held by either, they were zooming it around really fast but it was mounted. I am guessing that was the live webcam, becuz all the other cameras were being held by individuals ?? <BR> <BR>

wes_can_riders 05-01-2004 7:52 PM

the wakeskating sucked sooooooo bad... only two ppl landed kickflips and most where falling on the easiest tricks like shuvs... I only got to watch shaprios run that was sweet... wat was shane bonifay like?

suckbuthavefun 05-02-2004 7:48 AM

I keep getting a "windows media player cant connect to the server" error. Is the error on my end?

maverick_gear 05-02-2004 8:10 AM

its sunday mornin 8 am my time should be around noon in orlando and i can't get any connection to the action... what time does it start? can anyone else see whats goin on?>

electricsnow 05-02-2004 8:27 AM

Yeah, it's not working for me at this point either...which sucks because I was able to watch it yesterday.

goodtimes 05-02-2004 10:33 AM

I just tried the webcast again. It now works.

deepstructure 05-02-2004 11:10 AM

ya, now they're still terrible filmers AND poorly cutting between two cameras as one can't cover the whole course now because of tents that block the view. nice. my girlfriend and i were just trying to watch the women ride but we gave up.

wake2wake103 05-02-2004 12:53 PM

Danny just about pulled a toeside 1080 in the comp.

scott_a 05-02-2004 1:16 PM

"they're still terrible filmers AND poorly cutting between two cameras as one can't cover the whole course now because of tents that block the view." <BR>i agree, chris. why didnt they just use tripods? oh well, it was still terrible. and what was with the cameraman on the left (when the boat was on the left side of the course) zooming in waaaaay too much and losing the rider half the time? did that piss off anyone else besides me? someone please take that dude's zoom button away.

wakeriderixi 05-02-2004 1:32 PM
