I just received my Jett! I'm so excited I can't wait until tomorrow to try it. The worst part is that I have class at 7 am and I have a lesson and I already know the only thing that's going to be on my mind during that class .... "I want to ride my new board!!!!"

Well it looks really cool, I already put my bindings on it and stickers... I will post my review tomorrow!

Hi,
I'm new in the wakeworld. We just bought a tige boat yesterday. Now, I've to choose my wake. I'm quite a beginner, but I will be out on water almost everyday and I should say I'm a strong snowboarder. So, I'm looking for a board at least intermediate that will allow me to progress because I don't want to change every year. I also want a board that forgive because I want to have fun while trying planty of tricks this summer. I was thinking about buying actually the LF jett. What do you think of it?

Thanks
Lucie

I LOOOOOOOOOOVE MY JETT! it'a SUPER SUPER light. has AMAZING pop. not too quick but DEF not a brick like some say. all in all my FAV board ever!

luciefer 05-30-2007 9:50 AM

thanks for the info
What about the landing? Is it soft?

D I S C hull-Double Inside Single Concave –- softens landings and maintains board speed.

I was in the same position a few weeks ago. Plenty of girls told me the Jett and Sapphire were great boards. Also, the Skyla seems nice, but I couldn't get much info on it.

I heard the Jett was slower than some, but has great pop and soft landings. I heard the Sapphire is smoother carving in the water, and I've seen pics of girls boosting huge airs on it! Anyway, I heard it was bit less sticky.

I chose the 132 Ronix One, which comes in next Monday. I'll post a review once I get on it. It's heavier than the Jett, but I obviously thought it was worth a try;)

I don't think you can go wrong with any of these boards. There are plenty of awesome riders who are proof of that!

So I tried it today and I decided that I LOVE my new board! It is everything I expected it to be. I was riding a Cadence 131 before the Jett.

The board is a bit slower that my Cadence, but it is faster than a Premier. I really felt what it says that it takes you more up than far. It has incredible pop but it's not like it shoots you up uncontrollably in the air. It is very loose, looser than my Cadence but not as loose as the Watson. The landings were very very soft. Landing in the flats wasnt as hard as they were with my other board.

When I first got it I thought there wasn't any real difference in weight with my Cadence, but when I rode it, it definitely felt lighter.

Overall, a great board. I wouldnt recommend it for beginners though. Edging properly is harder to do with the Jett if you are a beginner. Its not going to be impossible to do, but it will be easier with a board like the Angel.

I give 2 thumbs up to the Jett!

I'll post pics soon, the board looks so pretty on them

Hey Lucie, I used to ride the LF jett, and it was a very forgiving board, but I recently got a gator Gonzales (desire for girls) 132 because it is faster, and I'm loving it. The desire has the same soft landings, and better pop in my opinion. The jett is a slow board, so it all depends on what you want. Good Luck

Hey nice form on toeside. I am riding the 134 LF team. So you went from a cont. to a 3 stage. why? I had a 3 stage CWB, and yeah now I am used to my fast continous. So what made you switch? I can't land my 180's now wtw because 1. i spin off the wake. and 2. I am still on my heal edge. What is your opinion. I want the jett 136!

polhamus 05-31-2007 8:07 PM

ps my hubby is in the coast guard and he travels to equador. can you give him a pull? just kidding. no but really he travels there. and got a pull on the wakeskate behind a fishing boat

criswb 07-13-2007 3:48 PM

I just saw your replies Kim! Def let me know next time he comes Ill see what I can do to take him out! I dont own a boat but 2 friends do.

I was riding the cadence before and it was also 3 stage. Ive only had 3 stage boards, although I used to ride my boyfriends Demented which was a continuous, but it was huge for me anyway and I was just learning to edge. I like 3 stage better cause I am not a fan of fast boards and I like the extra pop =)

For the 180s, really concentrate on this:
1. pop first
2. keep both hands on the handle right up until the last minute (if its hs 180, if its ts you can keep both)
3. pull your legs up, it helps me cause I land with my legs more bent which helps me absorb the landing better
4. dont look at your board, look to the shore in the direction your traveling.. this will help with not sliding on your heels which happens to me a lot! remember you must keep on going the direction your traveling and your board shouldnt land parallel to the boat.

I try to not take the 180s out into the flats cause it makes it harder for me to land them.. I dont cut out that much and dont edge with much speed, I just stand up really tall for a big pop that will give me the time to do all those things

polhamus 07-14-2007 5:32 PM

Thanks Cris. My husband travels to Manta, so I think that might be a far travel. Yes? I have landed 5 180's. landed every time we go out. Since I got the Jett. I can't believe it. That continous held me back for a whole season!

criswb 07-14-2007 6:09 PM

Yeah I think its a little less than a 3 hour drive... but if he ever wants to do it and come to Guayaquil, Ill be happy to take him out... you should come too!! Congrats on the 180s!
