Las Vegas Riders?
 

I have recently been relocated to Las Vegas from Florida for some work. I have not met anyone that rides out here yet but it would be great if I got a chance to get out on the water/meet some people that ride. I don't have my board with me yet but I'll be flying back to FL in a few weeks to gather all my gear. Would be happy to throw in some gas/beer money if anyone wants to throw me a rope!

I get out to Lake Mead about every weekend, PM me if you wanna come out! Mostly just surf but could pull ya boarding if you want!

What's up yeah I do some skate sessions at mead or Laughlin or even havasu depending but yeah always could use a fellow rider.. If you skate I have a 2010 sea doo with speed control.. Gets good water always in the shallows.. Down to set up some rail slides too if you want?

Hey Guys!

I just recently moved to Las Vegas! I don't know anyone out here who rides! I use to wakeboard a lot but a few years ago started surfing and fell in love! I don't have my boards anymore because I was traveling for 2 years but I can hit up my old sponsor to get some surf boards. Let me know if you want some down chicks who ride. I would love to hit the water. Gas/booze of course. Fantastic boat edict too.

I have also just moved to Las Vegas....chasing the dream with my wife. I have a 1995 Sport Nautique with 1,000 lbs of ballast. Although we haven't been out to Mead yet, we will definitely be out there once a week and will most definitely be in need of experienced thirds and hopefully someone that can drive a boat for me to get a pull or 3.

My parents live in Henderson and I go there there at least once a year. We are taking our 2013 MB 23wb there on June 7 thru 16. If you are riding on Mead go to the wall south of the launch area it is usually flat there. Better yet take the trip to Cottonwood Cove in Searchlight. about 30 min south. Much better water.

Hubs and I will be in Vegas next week - should have our boat by middle of April/first of May. If you're still interested, we will probably be going out every weekend! I have never wakeboarded before, although I spent the last 4 years snowboarding - we'll see if that helps any! I'm ready to go!!

Going to try to get out Friday morning and then Saturday as well... weather looks high 80's I just can't pass that up lol

If you want to come out, would love to have some extra riders, we mostly just surf no wakeboarding but if you have one bring it and I have no problem pulling ya!

Zach if all goes well i think we are going to head out Saturday also. If i get a chance to pick up a wetsuit i'm hoping to ride as i wasn't ready for how cold the water is.

Where do you generally launch out of? We might try Calville this time.But either way hopefully we can hook up

My boat storage is right outside of Las Vegas harbor so usually we launch there because Calville is about another 35min drive from there but it depends.. I am hoping to get Friday off so I can go grab the boat and get everything put back together but either way i cant pass up this weather! A wet suit is definitely a must, I know Boulder Boats had a sale going but if not check craigslist there is a ton on there!

Got the boat yesterday...It is as good as advertised! The weather is forecasted to be amazing on Sunday and I have not been a the lake for over four years.

The only problem is my tow vehicle is still not here from Italy. Its last location was at the sea port in Georgia. It is "supposed" to be here by tomorrow, but I do not see that happening.

I'm going out Saturday for sure I dont know about Sunday yet, where is your boat located at? Might be able to drop ya in and pull ya out if its not a huge long haul??

Zach, thanks!!!! It is still on base in the parking lot. We move into the house (North Vegas) on Friday and are getting tv/internet connected on Saturday. My truck is now "supposed" to get to LA tomorrow...we will see. I am just ready to get settled into our new life here.

Looks like i will be headed out there Sunday....depending if the wife wants to bring her friends that are in town out I may have room in the boat. I should know more by Saturday

We have launched out of Lake Mead Marina a few times. We may try and launch out of Calville this time though

Truck is here...So I WILL be on the lake Sunday. Got word this morning at 9 that my truck was in LA an ready for pick-up. Left work got changes bought a plane ticket flew to LA. Took a 30 min cab ride to the processing center and did paperwork for the next hour. Got the truck on the highway and was back in Vegas by 1800.

I'll probably launch from Las Vegas... heading out early to get some surfing in before it gets windy and busy! lol

Hitting Callville...I also need to find boat storage in that area...the house we moved into has RV parking however the driveway is lined with palms and the front of the truck cant swing strait to push the boat down the side after getting it around the corner...

I know most outdoor storage is anywhere from 125-150 around here, i opted for indoor storage with electricity so i could leave the boat plugged in but it runs me about 165/mo

Yea...I just talked to Callville Bay and they have uncovered dry storage for $70 a month...not to bad...I will save that easily not towing the boat 80 miles round trip. The boat was going to be outside at the house anyway.

Got out yesterday, wasn't too busy. Water is definitely warming up finally! Photo of the g/f killing it on the goofy wave!
