What head unit to play ipod (aux input) for 01 SAN

We have a 2001 Super Air Nautique and it still has the stock head unit in it. it has decent speakers sub and amp but we need to add a new head unit to run an ipod. anyone know any cheap head units that fit this boat with an AUX input?

Is it just a single din head unit? Any other single din would work. They're pretty standard.

Get on PlanetNautiqe.com and search XMD-1 ipod hook up. You'll find a thread with listed parts, pictures, etc... everything needed to hard wire in an ipod hook up to your current head unit.

If you are dead set on a new head unit I believe the Clarion has a CMD series unit that will fit but you will also need to replace some wire and get a new remote.

if its possible to wire it in to mine now that would be even better, ill try PN.com

I just replaced my xmd1 with a cmd5. It is the newest one that will still work with your old remotes.

The other option is to just install the ws420 eq with aux input.

We've been running some super cheap thing from wal-mart and it has been amazing. 3 years and counting and it still runs. It was like a $40 "DUAL" head unit... doesn't even play CDs but has the following:

USB-in
AUX-in
SD card slot
AM/FM

.... so we are able to run anyone's mp3 player/cell phone for music, charge, and I just keep a 8 gb sd card in there as a backup.... best part is, that if it gets trashed we really don't care, we'll just buy another.

EDIT: We have a Nautique Supersport so I assume the mounting is the similar if not the same

+1 for the WS420.
