We have a Tige 22v on order and decided not to get the stereo and do it ourselves or have someone locally do it. How much are you looking to spend? Four good 6.5s, one 10"(with amp), and a good head unit will be loud enough to hear inside the boat at any speed. I'd focus more on the tower speakers though. <BR> <BR>I just went through this situation with my X2. Here's what we did, and what it cost: <BR> <BR>Sony XPlod CDXF7700 MP3/CDR head unit: $219 <BR>Four Sony XPlod XSV1640H 6.5s : $69 per pair <BR>Orion 8004 800 watt amp(for the tower) : $299 <BR>NVS Entity 1010 tower speakers : $1799 per pair <BR>Sony XPlod 10" Pentagon sub : $89 <BR> <BR>We are running the 6.5s straight off of the head unit and they sound very good. The 6.5s sound so good that we haven't even taken the 10" sub out of it's package yet. The tower speakers are just unreal. If you want to blow other people off the water, the NVS Entity is the only way to go. <BR> <BR>

I have a great set up in my 22V and I ordered it without the stereo...which is the best option. We did the install ourselves, but we were pretty comfortable with everything. We just got tired of every installer tell us we couldn't do things that we new we could do, so we did it ourselves. <BR> <BR>Let us know what your budget is and what is important to you and we can give you a lot more information.

Joe, once you hear a sub in your boat you won't go back. Get it in there trust me. I never knew how much difference it made until mine blew. I couldn't get it replaced fast enough! Now I have two 10s in my 22I and want to add a third!

You can get 2 12's in a box to fit right in front of the driver in the storage area if you make it right for your 22V. The only thing you need to do is put a speaker grill in the kick panel to let the sub "breathe." I would highly recommend the Sony MP80 cd player. If you are on a budget, you can get a nice 5 channel amp for 1 12 and the boat speakers, and another nice 4 channel amp for tower speakers. I would not power any speakers off of the deck unit. I have been very happy with my Hifonics amps. You can get the deck and amps for a great price on ebay.

About the sub, I don't know if that would work because we got the stock balast system and there is a tank right in the storage in front of the driver seat. And what type of speakers do you recommend for the inside?

That would be a problem. I have MB Quart speakers in the boat and tower and am happy with them. If you search for them online, you can get a much better deal than in the stores.

Can you suggest some speakers (6) and an amp to power them? Also any online web sites with good deals would help. <BR>Anyone in the Walled Lake/West Bloomfield are know of any good stereo places that would install speakers that I bought on line or put in a whole system. <BR> <BR>Thanks

These are the same speakers I have and those are pretty good prices. You need to get the 213's for the bow (5 1/4's). The 216's won't fit up there. I feel that Hifonics makes some extremely good amps for the prices you can find them on ebay. I would get 2 4 channel amps...the ZX 6400's are really nice. 1 for the 6 speakers in the boat, and 1 for the tower set up. The sub situation is going to be tough because of your stock ballast set up. I have not seen a stock ballast set up, so I don't know about the tanks in front. I would really try to avoid putting subs under the passenger seat. You will lose a lot of bass doing this. So there isn't any room to even put 1 12" sub into the driver's kick panel? <BR> <BR>I would also go over to <a href="http://www.tigeowners.com" target="_blank">www.tigeowners.com</a> and ask some questions as well.
