New to the sport and larger than most 6’8” 250 and was wondering what some of the larger guys use for a setup. I’ve got bindings that I love (factions). Really curious about boards.

Matt, my buddy started on the LF Omega 143. He has recently switched to the hyperlite premier 141, He is 6'2" and about 265. Obviously the premier is an advanced board, but the Omega was a good starting point for him.

I'm 6'5 240 and ride absolute 141, and a roam 144 and there both are great.

6'5" 230 - Era 147 and LF Watsons.

If you love the Faction boots why not check out the Faction 144? The size is good and the dual fin design should help you carry more speed into the wake.

O'brien Natural 144 should be a perfect match toss some Xl or XXL Xenons on it and your set. I have a buddy who is not as big but, 6'5" 260 who rides it and loves it!

Im 250 and ride the 140 Marius, I LOVE IT!! Its a great board with a lot of pop, that lands soft and is very forgiving. I also like the 144 Faction. Another great board. If I was going to ride any other board it would be the Faction. It may be a lil better for you. If you can demo both and see what you think. Later BG

I have found that all 143s aren't the same length when put beside each other so you might want to compare them side by side. Another important factor is how wide the board is at the tip and tail (more surface area). In the end, get a board with the most surface area and run a little faster to make it up. It truly is a shame that there isn't any boards bigger than the 143 size. At 235 pounds, I ride the 143 3ds and have to run 1 mph faster than I would like.
