I am working on a class project and need to know the total size of the US wakeboarding market in dollars. Does anyone know where I can find this information?

I'm curious too what the market potential is. I would call Mastercraft and Hyperlite for some figures. I believe these companies have the largest market shares for boats and gear. They could probably tell you what the aggregate domestic market potential is.

I am also curious. Would you consider things like stereo equipment for boats as well as things like binding slime? Or just the core stuff like wakeboards and bindings?

How can you differentiate between a boat that was bought for wakeboarding and one that was bought for innertubing and skiing?

The National Marine Manufacturers Association compiles sales and registration information to come up with this stuff. (inboard boats less than XX feet is probably the closest I'll be able to come up with). I'll see if I have a copy at work.

I know that the state of Arizona has the most amount of boat owners (per capita) then any other state in the country.

Dills

Contact the Water Sport Industry Association. They track these figures.

Kyle, Not that it matters, but according to the link below, Minnesota had the most, one for every 6.3 people in the state!
http://www.msue.msu.edu/msue/imp/modtd/33840420.html
