This thread comes on the heels of Scott Byerly being rejuvenated with wakeboarding in WBM this month. Wakeboarder -> Kiteboarder <BR> <BR>Following the boat got stale. Much better making your own lines and hitting some different conditions.

I'll warm up with the skate, then strap in. Ride skate mainly for a few days when season starts to get my balance back.

Ski and slalom till 07, got wakeboarding a couple times behind my uncle's boat, my family got a boat the next year, and now its all wakeboarding unless I take a hard slam and want to screw around for a set (wakeskate raileys make fun crashes).

Dave - I am just that old. I started skiing at the age of 5. Only Tony Finn and a few of his friends were wakeboarding before I was. I got a board off of the first production run. I got a lot of strange looks on the lake back then. I shortened the rope to just about wakesurf length - just behind the rooster tail.

wakeboard and then wakeskate for fun.. or just to be dumb. not saying wakeskating is dumb.. i just suck and anything other than riding it
