Im sure the CIE crew, Big Ed and Gordon can help me on this ?. What prop do you guys run on the x2 when running 2k or more of ballast?

I run my original stock prop and still do....after almost 400 hours put on it in the Delta.....pretty lucky if you ask me!<img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/happy.gif" border=0> <BR> <BR>Gordon runs a 1235 but from what I understand(gordon told me)<img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/proud.gif" border=0>If I wanted the same prop,it would be a 1234.Same prop but different mount.I guess it changed from his 2001 pro star to my 04. <BR> <BR>When I run 3-5 people and 2000lbs.....no problems,maybe 4 seconds till plane time.Add another 1000lbs....I'm looking into 7-9 second plane time(depending on the conditions)I guess that is still not bad but at that point a different prop would be nice.IMO

Thanks Ed! My friends is a 05, we were out yesterday with 5 adults 2 kids and 1300lbs ballast and it seemed like it took forever to plain out. Im sure it would be a 1234 for a 05 also.

500lbs in rear, belly sac plus 400lbs in popbags in nose.3 adults in bow, me driving another adult in passenger seat and two children in back.

500lbs total in rear just the 2 hard tanks. Belly sac plus 400lbs of popbags in bow. 1300lbs total ballast. Plus peeps. Heck maybe the previous owner didnt even have the stock prop on it cuz it took a while to plain out. I think he'll still want to upgrade to the 1235 cuz hes gonna swap out the tanks for the 400lb flyhigh vdrive sacs.By the way, my brother thinks your wake is sic (Trevorcentralcali)

Something sounds fishy... <BR> <BR>I have factory ballast... 500 in rear, belly tank (fly high) and 6 people... pop'd right out of the hole. <BR> <BR>I have stock prop on a 06 X-1 with the RTP-1 engine.

14.25 X 14 LC OJ XMP EDGE or 14.25 X 14.5 OJ XMP EDGE. Both of these propellers are stock on MASTERCRAFT depending on the motor. What motor do you have and what year is the boat?

Steve, <BR> <BR>As Ed pointed out, I run the 1235 (14.5" x 14.25P)with the RPT-1 motor and have no problems with 3k+ ballast, 4k+ it takes a few seconds to get on plane but no problems, any more ballast than that and the boat is real low in the water. For I think it is 03 and above, Mastercraft went with the splined shaft which would be part number 1285 (not 1234, which is RH rotation). <BR> <BR>Lost a bit of top end but since I ride the dirty D, there is not a lot of just cruising time and the hole shot is worth it, the boat comes out of the hole and on plane effortlessly. With no ballast you have to be easy or you'll tear the arms off a beginner. <BR> <BR>Paul Brothers who posts on here did a write up on OJ's product the edge which he is running and seems happy with. You can also talk to with Bill Weeks at ACME (<a href="http://www.acmemarine.com" target="_blank">www.acmemarine.com</a>) and he'll set you up with the right prop for your application. <BR> <BR>Awesome boat and my favorite wake.
