Picked up the new boat this weekend! Traded in the 05 24 SSV, and I am very impressed by the 22 wake. The new 22SSV has a huge wake. This boat likes 50/50 on the weight ratio. It is the official tow boat for DRA. <BR> <BR>Love the Black tower with the colors you have. Very nice boat.

Thanks, I ran about 1000 in the back and the 650 plus the 100 lead in the front. Had the plate at about 20% and it was very clean. I plan to use one of the stock 400's out of the rear up in the nose to really get it close to 50/50 split. The stock sacks had the male attachements glued in, so I couldn't manually fill them up this past weekend. I am running the wakeboard prop 14 x 14.5

I got it with the boat as an upgrade. You can get it from a Supra dealer or contact CNC direct.

speaking of props, my 22ssv (05) has a 13.7x17.5 -- it comes out of the whole like mad --what is your top speed...? mine is 43... shouls i swap to a 14.5 pitch prop for better fuel economy? <BR> <BR>(Message edited by showtime on October 22, 2007)

Tickle, <BR> <BR>IF your happy with how you come out of the hole, don't change a thing. Top speed of 43 is pretty good. <BR> <BR>I have the wakeboard prop on ours and I run about 3400lb with the plate at 43%, 1700 front and 1700 rear. Gravity games bags with the rest in lead. I have gone up to 4800lbs but it is to much work in keeping water out. At 3500 lbs it can take a average wake at the nose and still not dip.

mine has the 340 in it -- does it make that much of a difference --also i'm looking at it from a fuel economy perspective -- seems like we stop and start often....

Looks good. I like the color and the black tower. <BR> <BR>I too run 50/50 (3500lbs) with the plate at %50. Works great for me and the crew. <BR> <BR>Have fun and enjoy. I'm sure you will love this thing. <BR> <BR>One thing I plan to add is ball valve on the outlet of the rear bags. Seems once they are full they can leak out during the day. Plus if you want to add another bag on top for surfing it wont push out the water from the stock bag. <BR> <BR>I also have the WB prop. Not sure on the specs but with the 340hp motor and full crew and ballast it gets going quick. As for top speed, I have no clue. <BR> <BR>Did I mention the CAT is great. I have the 340, and I prefer the 14 x 14.5 prop. In my 05 24, it was much better then the smaller prop on gas and getting on plane. 05 22 is a different Hull, so not sure how many people are running the bigger prop on that style 22. On the new hull it seems to be standard if you are sacking out the boat. I am not too concerned with top end as I rarely go over 30!!! I actually am not sure what the new boat top end is, as soon as I dropped it in, I set the PP to 22 and ran it all day.

Congrats really like the new boat. I like the black tower on that boat vs. the silver one. I just can't stand that seating arrangement. The interior on those new supra's are really impressive, well minus that rear facing seat.

The Z5 cargo is very nice, I really wanted to put it on my 24, but couldn't justify paying full price to upgrade it. It came as an upgrade with the 22, so I am very happy. The red interior was a little hard to get use to at first, but the more I sat in the boat the more it grew on me. My wife really liked it and helped sell me on it. I haven't seen another Supra in the area with it, they are not letting them upgrade the interior in the 08's. The dealer sold one earlier in the year with the red interior, but the customer was not from the Dallas area.

Nice setup! Supra Brochure arrived the past wknd and I could not take my eye off the 22ssv. It has everything w/o the 24ft. I noticed it has options for 400+ horses. Last year at the boat show The 24ssv was my favorite (w/o taking $ into account.) Is this the first year for the 22ssv? Sure would like to find one used...

I think you might want to get a higher hitch ...she doesn't quite look level.....plus it will give you extra clearance room...for the underside of the trailer. I know because I got stuck on a boat ramp a couple of weeks ago because the first rib on the trailer couldn't get over the lip of the boat ramp where it changed angles....I was missing a half inch...and had to get some 2 by 4 under the trailer wheels.....my old hitch was a 3.5 inch drop and now I have a 2 inch drop and it works fine now. Plus with your trailer level you wont get the uneven pressure on the trailer tires.

I was thinking the same thing about the hitch, there is a little lip up in my storage unit and I had to put the rear truck tires on it to get the wheel jack down. The 07 22 was the first year for the new hull(same as the 24)I think it is the perfect size for the hull. I had an 05 24 and it was just a little to big for us, plus we had to really weight it down to get the wake where we wanted it. I personally thing the 340 is plenty of engine, but if you can afford the larger engine more power to you!!

Sorry for the hijack. Patrick the 22 is an awesome boat we are running the upgraded bags in ours total 1950# the wake is way to much for me. We are adding 450 to the back for surfing, it's a good wake but a few people even better. The rear facing seat seems to be the best seat in the house.It would be fun to down to Tx some time.

I want to use the stock rear 400 sacs to add more weight when surfing and to drop in the nose when boarding. Problem is the male inserts were glued into the sacs, so I can't use the tsunami pump on them. Anyone have any tips for getting the fittings out?

Patrick, Yea you will probably rip the bag getting them out. I'd connect a pvc ball valve to the fitting then you can just close it. It will also keep you interior from getting all wet too

Patrick, you will not rip the bag. CAll Fly high for exact details, btu take a hari dryer and leave it set on high and aim it towards the fittings, let it sit for about 5-10 min, the glue will melt and the fitting can be "popped" out. the bags are very strong...the fittigns go before the bag does. the fittign will eb trashed but you'll save the bag and the female threaded part.
