Lake reeds

Is there a way to permanently remove lake reeds? This is our main swim area and kinda a pain. Also, is there anything to remove that green slimy buildup from rocks? It seems like one side of or dock is mostly rocks and the other side is similar but have this green layer that’s kinda squishy.

I've used Aquacide for submerged weeds and it has worked great ... not sure how it would handle stuff like that; or they may have a product for that type of weed.

I'd take a few weeds over putting chemicals in the water that I plan to swim in.

My parents use this rake on a rope for ponds. Works great
