IS Sweet Spot or Black Pearl Yellow?

Time for a new board, but I don't know which one to choose. It's gonna be the Inland Surfer Sweet Spot or the Black Pearl Yellow. Need opinions.

I consider myself an intermediate rider, can do 3's occasionally, and currently ride a CWB Tsunami skim style board. I weigh 200 lbs. My biggest complaint is that the board tends to be slow for me. Always workin' to keep it in the pocket.

So, do I go with the fast surf style Sweet Spot or stick with a skim style Black pearl. I can't do shovits, but love to get air and do 3's. I've never ridden a surf style board.

What do you recommend and what fin setup?

tuneman, i love both of those boards. i would recommend the black pearl yellow for you over the sweet spot. if you are doing 3s and getting air on the tsunami then you will kill it on the black pearl. the board is really fast.

im mainly a skim rider and spent last summer on the black pearl yellow and loved it. i rode the sweet spot a few times and was really into it even though i suck at surf style.

Thanks for the advice. I called up Inland Surfer and got some further recommendations from Lance. Great guy.

I went ahead and ordered the Sweet Spot with XL fins. Being at 200lbs, I'm at the max weight limit of the Black Pearl. For, me it's all about effortless riding with minimal effort of keeping it in the pocket, but still have the ability to launch and do 3's. The Sweet Spot seems to be the ticket for that.
