Alright, I give up. I consider myself somewhat mechanically inclined but after two hours I cannot remove the v-drive coupling flange from the driveshaft. I'm trying to install a new dripless shaft seal and I'm now stuck. I tried my prop puller, a pulley tool, and beating on it with a hammer. <BR> <BR>Any suggestions are greatly appreciated... I'm not ready to give up, but the boat kicked my *ss today.

Is there a key way on the driveshaft?

Well I finally got if off, thanks to Todd over at Wilson's. After doing some more research I found that a stack of washers between the driveshaft and v-drive with some longer bolts will pull the coupler flange right off. <BR> <BR>Yesterday afternoon I got the shaft seal on, rebolted the driveshaft to the v-drive. I just need to plumb the water line to the stationary side and I'm done. <BR> <BR>Yes it does have a key way.
