Colorado Lake Granby

Anyone done Lake Granby? Is it worth the trip? Overly busy? Trying to get away form the crowds this weekend

We went to Lake Granby last year and it is not busy at all! I don't know how the water level is this year so make sure you check that out first. It's a beautiful lake and we were able to find lots of places to wakeboard and surf even when the wind was blowing. You will have to do a full decontamination when you leave though, hot water rinse through the whole ballast system, etc and then if you go to another Colorado lake afterwards, be prepared to do it again since they don't seem to trust it. Bring a wetsuit, some don't like the 65 degree water!

Guess I forgot to mention that I went there for Labor Day last year...It is pretty chilly in the morning there too! Looks like the low on Sunday will be 43 degrees and the high is only at 72. Pack a sweatshirt!

Think I am going to pass on Granby. Would like to check something else out though, just want to get away from the crowds.
