Is there storage in the bow? I know the center cushion comes out, but are there storage compartments under the other 3 cushions? thanks

heeb_v215 08-18-2007 12:19 AM

Yes there is the little front one is like a tiny cooler and the two on the side are storage..

What is the top end on a gps of the 215 with no weight and not porpusing? with the 330 hp scorpion. Anyone have any pictures of the wake at wot

(Message edited by krbaugh on August 18, 2007)

Kevin, my D215 does 42 at 2000 foot altitude with a 12 pitch prop but I'm not at my peak rev range so I will have.to drop pitch and should actually pick up 1 or 2 mph
I can't post a pic soon but it never popoises and is clean but noticable. I have the 330 hp

krbaugh 08-18-2007 12:34 PM

Ok that is very close to what My Enzo 216 is getting

rowdy 08-18-2007 1:47 PM

Kevin, I did 48.5 this morning with 3 people in the boat with the stock prop. I was at 800 ft altitude, almost an empty tank of gas, and fairly smooth water. I don't have a pic of the wake at that speed. I can get you one the next time out.

krbaugh 08-18-2007 2:40 PM

48.5 on a GPS?

rowdy 08-19-2007 7:54 AM

Yep, 48.5 on a GPS...Garmin 60csx to be exact. I just adjusted my throttle cable since the boat was never winding out. The Black Scorp would only top out at about 4900 rpm. Now it goes to 5200 no problem and I was shocked at the amount of top end I gained.

ghostrider_2 08-19-2007 10:32 AM

just curious how did you adjust your throttle cable?

rowdy 08-19-2007 2:45 PM

Kenny, I adjusted the clamp that holds the cable to the motor. I also went to the lever and adjusted there, decreasing the angles where I could. I lubed the cable as well. I'm heading over to your other thread.

how did you lube the cable?

(Message edited by ghostrider_2 on August 19, 2007)

I just put grease in at either end of the housing and worked it in...I don't know how much it really did, but it does feel a lot smoother. I was figuring that the most friction is at either end, where the bends are, so that's where grease it probably needed.

ghostrider_2 08-19-2007 3:08 PM

guess I could do that now also. Thanx

madvlin 08-20-2007 2:19 PM

my 215 has never seen over 25 mph j/k but it seems that way. Wrong boat to go fast with

rowdy 08-20-2007 2:30 PM

But it's a Sanger....going fast is in its' DNA!!!

"Wrong boat to go fast with"

Why?

walt 08-20-2007 3:15 PM

Kevin,
I'm not sure what the top speed is but I've been with Coop when he's pulled footers (long line).

I've been in a VLX while pulling footers too.

My guess would be around 46-47.

mendo247 08-20-2007 3:28 PM

^ ^

Thats pretty close, maybe 45? Ballast empty, but did have some lead in the boat...

load 08-20-2007 3:38 PM

Some lead!
