I have pretty much narrowed my MiniDV Camcorder options down to these two models. Any thoughts on either?? I really like the DCR HC 40? Anyone used it for filming wakeboarding or surfing??

I have the tvr38 and have been happy with it so far no real complaints. I hope to get a water housing done by this summer.

I also have a trv38, I really like the big screen for play back in the boat. No problems so far.

Yeah got one last weekend still on a learning curve but its a excellent bit of kit

I just got the HC-40 and it's been really great so far. The picture and video quality are great, but I'm not an expert. I got it for $550 with shipping at American Deals.
