I did a quick search, but wasn't sure what to look for really so I'm sorry if this has been asked before.

Anyway, here's my question: Can you mix and match board and binding companies?

I really like the Ronix One board, but I don't have the cash to spring for the whole setup. My collegiate team gets an ~40% discount on Hyperlite gear, so I was thinking I'd go with Hyperlite bindings (my old bindings are shot to hell) and the Ronix board for next season. Are they made to be interchangable?

Thanks for the help

Are you asking if other brand bindings will fit on other brand boards? The answer is Yes. But some of the board companies have thinner boards than others. If your binding isn't held down tight you need a spacer. If your screw bottoms out in the insert just put a washer in between the screw an the base plate or claw. Then it should be fine.

Hey Brad, you can mix and match almost any board binding that has been made over the past couple years. One thing I would strong suggest you check howver is binding screw length. Liquid and O'brien us shallower inserts and will need shallower screws as will Hyperlite Roams....so buy from a shop that knows these things and will steer you right. Hope this helps.
