The wife has gotten better, sold the old board and is wanting a new set-up. She cares more about the appearance then anything and likes this particular setup (seen it on e-bay) they are both 06's for 239$ (combo) -- is this a deal? what are some pro's and con's? Are the bindings comfy and will they secure her foot. Our local boardshop does not carry this brand and she is not able to try them on... Thanks for any and all help.

I just bought the 07 xenons which I don't think changed much from last year. Haven't gotten to try them on the water yet, but they're really comfy--the neoprene makes it so you can get into them without lube. The thing I like about the Obrien bindings (I use to have Ions) is that they come up pretty high on the calf, more than most other women's bindings I've tried which some women like and some don't. Also the sizing was hard to figure out. I usually wear a 6 or 6 1/2 shoe so I ordered small and they were too big, had to return them for xsmall which I think says fits a 5-5 1/2.

If she's got a size 6 foot, I would think so. Before I sent the smalls back I compared the 2 sizes and they both had the same foot bed just the boot on top was slightly smaller with the xs. These were the '07s though so you might want to check that the 06's had the same sizing.
