What are your binding stance angles?
I have my bindings as wide as possible with 18 degrees ducked on both boots.
Does this sound reasonable? |
I have mine as wide as possible and ducked 12 degrees.
It's all what feels good and natural to you. It's definately reasonable, somedays I feel I need to duck them out more and other days less, just depends on how loose my muscles are. |
I am a member on learnwake forums and they say if I cant touch my knees together at 18 degrees its too much. They also talk about the more wide your stance, the less ducked you need to be. 9-12 degrees seems to be the average there.

all the way wide and straight no ducking
|
^^ your knees don't hurt?
Just under 15degres on both |
ducked at 11 degrees
|
Wakeboard? Ducked at 12. Snowboard? 55 front, 50 back.

EUROCARVE! YES!! I never paid attention to what my angles are on my wakeboard, just whatever felt comfortable.
|
Dan sounds perfect to me. I ride all the way out 18 degrees each foot.
|
i'm 5'6" i ride a 140 board 1 from the furthest out and 12 degrees. i also land in the flats on a 85' rope at 22mph behind a tige' with a 102" beam. all the info helps.:D
|
Robert, are you bragging?
|
no just supplying information. this will let someone know my height , length board i ride. that i can land in the flats at 22 mph at 85' rope length which adds up to about28' to 30' distance traveled. and obviously i land comfortable because i'm not injured. i get a better visual when i have more information. thats all i was saying.i don't know anyones skill level but i would rate my skill level at a beginner/intermediate. many riders i know are much better than me so i have nothing to bragg about.sorry if it came across that way . i was just supplying info.

"22 mph at 85'"
That's pretty funny, what do you ride behind, a tige' fishing boat? Any dumped wakeboard boat would need at least 25mph at 85' lines. |
ducked at 12 degrees and as wide as possible

this brings up another question, i am riding a 09 watson 138 with watson CT bindings... i have been riding this set up all year and am very comfortable on the board, no knee pain and very rarely do my feet get tired but in all my pics my knees seem really close together...
i was riding next to last holes and 12deg, i just switched them to the last hole out and 9deg.. i guess we'll see how that goes tomorrow |
I dropped from 18 degrees to 15 and didn't notice much difference but I was riding switch so I will see how it feels regular.
I might even try 12 degrees. Why not, its free! :) |
