My Wakeboard GoPro Mount

Using pre-existing centre-fin holes, I drilled a hole for the bolt through the mount, bored around the top to allow the screw head to sit flush, then tightened the nut over a washer on the other side, hacksawed the remainder of the bolt off and capped it with a plastic nut cap underneath.

I have one fitted at each end of the board and have added a floaty back door and leash.

First filming today!

i think it would be better if you turned the camera around at yourself.

I can do that very easily. I'll play around with a lot of different views.

Cool idea and nice job with the mount, but as soon as you do any jumps the impact will move the extended arm mounts. This could get you some cool footage carving around in smooth conditions though.

Get a floaty or teather it to your boot. That plastic they use for the mounts is cheap. Seen soo many board mounts break on landings

UPDATE: Yes, the first setup did flop around, so I switched to a single J mount and did it super tight; adding a leash and floaty backdoor.

It performed great! Shifted only a tiny amount on very heavy landings; really solid! Great footage, just need to see if my MacBook can handle editing, as my iMac is in storage!

I should have mentioned before, if you're not using the rubber insert for the mount you should be. My gopro mount will release first hit without it, but stays tight with it. The catch is you can't use it with the J mount, just the basic mount.

I found that with the standard mount; but j mount seems to stay in place for some reason?

I'd be real careful in general when mounting to the board. I used the surf mount and broke plenty of the adapters until eventually breaking the housing itself. GoPro will NOT cover any damages when mounting to your wakeboard.

^^^ Learned this the hard way. I understand the reasoning though.
