They of course now have the cover caps on them. This was when I was putting it all together. Wires have been cleaned up a bit more too. These are the only ones I can find right now.
|
Well crap. Doesn't look like my D3100's and my XXX sub/box are going to fit in the ob compartment of my A22. Guess I'll have to mount the batteries under the passenger seat.

Chatt,
Did you see where we ended up putting our sub? We put it on the drivers side and made a custom panel. It works well and the carpet rolls into it too. There is still plenty of leg room and it sounds awesome. There is quite a bit of room in there. I may upgrade soon, but I have tons of space when I decide to. |

As cool as those billet batery hold down deals look, and I am sure nothing has ever happened, but they just really worry me. I see arc welding when I see those. DON"T LOOK AT THE FLASH!
|
The box for the XXX sub is humongous. I'm not sure it will fit where yours is located.
|
Simple.
http://i806.photobucket.com/albums/y...g/IMG_0138.jpg Just two group 29's in plastic boxes. Seems to get the job done so far. |

Gorgeous David. Bravo!

David, I am sure you know I am not that big of a fan of Optimas but that install is awesome. Sooooooooooooooooo Clean.

http://earmarkcaraudio.com/set21/lar...3/p0009943.jpg Here's another Supra version with three batteries. In both versions there is more storage room than before. http://earmarkcaraudio.com/set24/lar...2/p1020782.jpg http://earmarkcaraudio.com/set24/lar...2/p1020805.jpg David Earmark Marine |
great installs, the biggest question i have is... How hot does it get inside those compartments? vent holes required?
|
How hot? Considerably hotter than the outside temperature once the sun begins to heat up the port locker. But, batteries are often located in hot engine compartments. And, AGMs are sealed.
The Outback should vent the bilge through the deckcap via a hose. If you want more ventilation for some reason then place a 4-inch louvered vent in the hump right next to the lower hose termination. This will vent the locker through the existing provision. David Earmark Marine |

I have arched off those several times! We got the boat that way....
