We're going to make the trip again this year, anyone else? Also, we have one day in the greater Dallas area - basically Sunday afternoon. Anything funky - not too touristy to see and do? As an example, when we went to the MN championships a few years ago we did the Spam factory museum and tour - even had lunch at Johnny's Spam-o-rama. uuuuum, them's good eats!

@ragboy. It's a solid event, lots of competition. It would be a good opportunity for RJ to put his skills to the test.

@becci - it will be great to see you again! Are you riding the IS 4skim, now?

(Message edited by surfdad on June 09, 2009)

I would like to volunteer to be RJ's chaperone.

If not, how much to buy into the Walker itinerary?

I did like the 4 skim but I'm a surfstyle rider I just like going for airs and stuff. I'm on the Shred Stixx Europe Team now waiting for my Comp 1 to arrive next week.

locwakeoutlawscom 06-09-2009 2:18 PM

Is there anyone that is going to be in DFW on Friday the 26th that has room to bring another rider down with them?

The buckeyes are coming. There will be at least eight of us from Columbus. If we can at least get one more prominent buckeye to attend, we would have enough to make a baseball team. Had a great time last year at the premier event of the season and looking forward to an even better time this year.

jon_tollefson 06-12-2009 6:57 AM

R.G. How are all eight of you getting to the event? I am from MI, and the drive would be super long. Are you all driving down to the comp?

ragboy 06-12-2009 9:45 AM

I was thinking of just sending RJ and his mom on a plane kind of thing.

wakesurf_ohio 06-12-2009 12:24 PM

Jonathan, half of us are flying out Thursday morning an the other half of us are flying out Friday morning.

jon_tollefson 06-14-2009 7:23 PM

Thanks, It seems like flying is defiantly the way to go. The drive would be over 20 hrs, way to long for a short weekend. I don't know if I can make it, but man would I love to! If only my JOB didn't get in the way Again!! What city are you flying into?

wakesurf_ohio 06-14-2009 7:41 PM

We are flying into Dallas, our friends are flying into Austin. Registration is already closed out though, it filled up quickly!

inland_surfer 06-15-2009 8:21 AM

We are looking forward to seeing Texas guys again. Becci, if you and your mom want to do some surfin, look for Sleepy Surfer's boat (Enzo 230). We'll be there Thursday, hopefully in the water by 5pm. See if we can get your mom some quality surf time, no wetsuit required.
