My riding skills are starting to finally improve a bit, to where I want to start filling up the ballast. I did upgrade the rear bags to 750#. What setup have you guys found best on this boat and wake plate settings? Since I am still a pretty new rider I am looking for some advice on setup.

I would upgrade the front bag to 1150 more importantly....

It's not all about ass weight, upgrade the front bag and sink the entire hull. Do that and you will notice a drastic increase.

I am pretty sure the front bag is around 1100# I upgraded the rear bags mainly for wakesurfing. <BR> <BR>(Message edited by lka__supra24ssv on June 05, 2008)

Try and get the weight close to 50/50 ratio in the front and rear. You can stick one of your older rear stock sacs up in the nose to accomplish this. I also found that I liked the wakeplate around 35-45% around 23 MPH when running close to 2800-3000 lbs.

nose weight is a major factor in the 24ssv it helps harden that massive wake up and stop it from washing out when going 23 or 24 mph... me n one of my best friends used to ride his with alot of weight in the front and a lot of weight in the back it helps handling also and getting on plane much quiker..the middle sack is rediculous and just sinks the whole boat down nicely all together the wake is CRAZY sick when weighted right

I still love the stock wake on my 24 with the front 1150 and rear 400's. I have a pair of 750's I am going to put in the back after I get some extra weight for the front. I don't want to be too heavy in the rear as the wake is hard to clean up. It really needs at least 50/50 for the best performance, or even 60F/40R.

I have found that if you add the <a href="http://www.wakeside.com/product/boat/ballast/ballast_bags/fly+high+pro+x+series+fat+sac.do" target="_blank">Fly High Pro X Series Fat Sac</a>(750lbs.) to the rear compartments of the 24 you will need to make sure you have the <a href="http://www.wakeside.com/product/boat/ballast/ballast_bags/fly+high+pro+x+series+center+gravity+games+sac.do" target="_blank">Fly High Pro X Series Center Gravity Games Sac</a>(1180lbs.). But I didn't think that was enough. What everyone has been saying about the weight ratio is true. I added another <a href="http://www.wakeside.com/product/boat/ballast/ballast_bags/fly+high+pro+x+series+fat+sac.do" target="_blank">Fly High Pro X Series Fat Sac</a>(750lbs.) to the bow to create in my opinion the best wake I have ever ridden. It scared me a lot but the takeoff was smooth and the air time is still unmatched by any other boat. But the bonus is that you can put the extra <a href="http://www.wakeside.com/product/boat/ballast/ballast_bags/fly+high+pro+x+series+fat+sac.do" target="_blank">Fly High Pro X Series Fat Sac</a>(750lbs.) on the floor or seat when you are surfing.
