Does any one out there use a power buffer on their boat or do it all by hand.

Kelly -

Just on scratches.

I have used a buffer with the meguires three step formula with all three steps at the dealer even complimented out good my boat looked. Had one guy buffing and another guy wiping with a towel behind him. takes a while to do all three steps but worth it the water would just bead off and made it a lot easier to wipe down after use.

Do you use a rubbing compound to remove scratches or just a buffer with wax?

Just like a car keap the buffer moving and dont spend a lot of time in one spot.

the three step has an oxidation remover step one takes out miner scaratches step two is a polisher and three is the wax. I ask my dealer about deep scratches and rock chips and they told me to wet sand those out. I have not tried that yet.

What kind of power buffer/polisher do you use?

I use a little one handed electric buffer but my friend has a larger two handed one that works a lot better.
