I have a buddy with a hook up to some pro-line products so we're going to get a new line and handle this year. I'm looking at going with a Leather Grip handle. IS there any reason I should get the diamond grip over the regular grip? Any other leather grip advice?

Also, what's the difference between a spectra line and dyneema coated line? Is there a noticeable difference? (There's only a $5 difference in the price.) I've always used Spectra and been fine.

Thanks!

not sure of the actual difference in lines but they are both good lines... Get the proline lg handle... great handle!

the leather grip is great! best purchase i've made along with a wakeboard rope!

my ski rope blew!!!

I got the white LG Series this weekend and love it so far. I've only used it once though so I doubt if any negatives would've been noticed yet. Wish I could've got the black instead though since it'll be used in dirty KS and OK lakes.

Spectra and Dyneema are trademarks for the same fiber strand.

I took the advice of many here (by doing a search) and ordered the Proline lg handle and line. I got it in black cause of the dirty water I ride in, I figured white would look trashed awful fast. It should be delivered to my doorstep today. When reading through some posts I'm pretty sure I came across one that said to be sure and get a 2007 model and not an 06 as there was an issue with the SOME of the earlier 06 handles sinking? I could be wrong?

The LG is a great handle, but I prefer the Proline Synthesis. It's got a triangle shaped grip and is very soft and easy on your mitts.

Josh- I just orderd the LG too. There is some more commentary about it in my post "Rubber Grip Handle." I'm excited for it.

Not sure if mine's the 06 or 07 model but it didn't sink.

I'm sure it'll look trashed soon enough between Kaw and Winfield lake's dirty water. As long as it holds up I'm not too worried 'bout looks.
