Which of these 3 areas are the best places to live near or on a lake?

Orlando, Cleremont or Winter Park?

How much are you looking to spend?

Lakefront in Winter Park = 1M+
Orlando (decent lake)= $500-800K
Clermont (growing fast) = $300-600K est

I live about 1 hour south of Orlando and lakefront is going for $4,500/ft of lakefront with or without a house. Plenty of good lakes around though. Seems like everything is for sale at the right price.

you can't get anything for under 600k in Clermont on the lake. Canal fronts are about 500k.

1 hour South of Orlando, private lake. Lower price than what was mentioned for the Clermont area.

It all depends on what you want out of the area.
Besides wakeboarding, what other things would you consider to make it a desirable location:
Schools
easy access to - stores/malls/airport/hospital/night life...........

Winter Park is just "around the corner" from Orlando
Where as Clermont is a looooong way from Downtown Orlando

phantom your dog is so cool looking, i want one like that ;)

What about Winter Haven? I'm prob gearing towards Orlando area then since it has the stores, malls, night life, jobs.

thanks Mango...... Winter Haven closer towards Tampa......Polk county home of USA Waterski.

Those pictures are from 1995 and my baby has since passed on . Not an easy place to get a rottie.....homeowners insurance are difficult to find that will cover a Rottie.

(Message edited by phantom5815 on June 14, 2006)
