I recently picked up a Connelly F1x in hopes that the mild shaping would aid my slower beginner runs through the course (28mph). It does indeed handle much better at slower speeds than my brothers Siege which wants to go no slower than 32 (too fast for me through the course). However, my F1x seems to ride higher in the water and I am having trouble really getting it to sink in the turn. I was considering trying the Connelly Concept having a softer flex and no shaping it might be better setup for my skiing style. Anyone have any experience with the Concept? Although the whole problem could be user error and have nothing to do with the ski in which case I should just learn how to ski.

You are pushing the ski in the turn - just relax and have your knees slightly bent. Let the ski do the work.

Thanks, Karl. After putting more time on the ski I realized that what do you know, it is me and not the ski. <img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/lol.gif" border=0> I was standing up too much to force the turn.

Karl I noticed in your post on skifly that KD is done for? The 7000 has been tried and true forever and I thought the Platinum was well received as well? So from your other post, Blindside, Double Up and KD all threw in the towel. This had to be a rough week for you.
