I have a SN 1994 with a PCM engine and was looking at getting Perfect pass. I need to now if it is fuel injected? As far as i now it is the smaller 290 HP engine.

I don't recall the first year PCM introduced throttle-body injection, but even if your engine is carb'd, you can still install Perfect Pass and it will work just fine.

Is it a Boss or Pro Boss engine? Boss (285 hp)is carbed and Pro Boss is fuel injected. Even better just look under the flame arrestor and see if there is a carb. You do not even need to take it or the plastic cover off to see.

Hope you not fitting it yourself. If you don't know if you boats inj or carb'd then drilling a 2" hole in the bottom might be fun!

I know the 93 was carb'd.

Fitted one last week no problems so dont worry about any holes. Thanks for the help i was pretty sure it was a carburetted 285 PCM so all good now. Cheers
Rob

Actually, the Pro Boss wasn't necessarily fuel injected. I had a '94 Sport with the Pro Boss engine and it was carb'd. In '94 CC started offering ProTec Fuel Injection as an option.

http://www.correctcraftfan.com/reference/1994_brochure/index.asp?page=05

Joe, you are 100% correct and I am wrong. Doh! I was thinking GT40. The Pro Boss was the Waste Spark upgrade, yet still carbed, that is the 285 HP.
