PTM Edge Mirror

I would like to upgrade the mirror on my boat. I have seen a few press releases for a VR100 mirror from PTM, but I cannot find one for sell any where. Does it exist?

Google?

That's the $200 VR140. The link above shows a $100 model that is more inline with what I'm willing to pay.

This might be it, now I need to figure out which mount.

Screw it, what's $100 when it comes to the safety of the rider.

the mount will run you another $80-$90 bucks but well worth it.
what a great mirror. I love mine!

Used mine all this season. If you mount it upside down view is more normal. If you mount it right ,rider appears farther away.I love the view for riders as well as rear approaching water traffic.

We (California Marine Sports) have the VR100 and VR140 in stock, but dont have them on the website. You can give the shop a call though

Thanks Mitch. I love the Factor PCX I got from you this year. Any chance you could post pictures of the VR100 and give a mini comparison of the two?

It does exist!!!

The VR-100 is the same high quality mirror as the VR-140, but it is 6"x14" and 100 degree view range, where the VR-140 is 6"x20" with 140 degree view range.

The 140 is sweet because while driving the boat you have close to a 360 degree view range by looking ahead and looking in the mirror. You never have to look over your shoulder or twist around. You see everything that is going on.
So with the 100 you lose basically 20 degrees on each side. It's still way better than standard CIPA mirror in terms of view range, and the clarity is much better.

Do the same mounts work for either mirror?

wakemitch 11-21-2012 10:30 AM

Yeah they are the VR-11 and VR-140 have the same ball mount in the back. So you need the ZXR-200 windshield mount or the RTS-100 ball to post adapter to use with a tower mirror arm. Or any ball mount clamp will work. I know Centurion has always used CIPA ball mounts.

Any idea if the stock mirror mount on a 2012 MB will work with either mirror?

wakemitch 11-21-2012 10:37 AM

I believe MB uses a post mount mirror. So you would need the RTS-100 adapter.

You will need the RS-100 mount to adapt it to the MB post

I just picked up a VR-140 for $128 on Black Friday. Pretty a sweet deal.
