Does anyone have pics of the ORIGIONAL Skurfer??? I have seen many people who say that the have the origional Skurfer, but i dont believe them for one reason or another (too modern of binding, fins etc). Thanks!!!

I believe my uncle had/has one. I can check with him and see if he has it still. It might take a little bit to find it. If he has it and I remember I'll post pictures in a couple of days.

I sold mine at a yard sale I think like ten years. I'll dig at my mom's house and see if I have any pics. If I find it you'll see a definite original. Its about 4 in. thick, pink, and the straps (not bindings) only have two choices for direction. Left and right.

i have an o'brian board that fits that description. I'll post up pics tonight. I bought it at a yard sale because it looked cool.

I have an original Skurfer Rage in my basement, but no pics handy.

The best Skurfer photo in the history of mankind features WakeWorld's Blabel styling out an old-skool method, he had it as his profile pic for a while, but I don't know if it is still there. It is worth looking for.

Kinda hard to post pics cause they're older than the WWW- Maybe I can scan them and post?

I have a skurfer from their first year and it's white. During the first year of production, the boards were white and yellow. Mine also says something about aitken on it (I don't have it in front of me, so sorry for being vague) and warren aitken helped produce the early skurfers before tony went to kransco.

Here's a link to the k2 woody thread, since my skurfer is in that lot. I also have a sano, which was a board from jimmy redmon's first company. It's a treasure...I'm pretty sure that it's in better condition than most, if not all of jimmy's boards.

http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/1/412037.html?1171298842

The one in my profile isn't the first skurfer, but it's definitely a skurfer. I still have it. I actually took a short run on it last year just to cruise around. It scared the crap out of me when I got air... and it was behind a PWC!

(Message edited by blabel on February 13, 2007)

(Message edited by blabel on February 13, 2007)

a few more (sorry about the size)I too ride the Skurfer and Flight 69 every couple of years. Nice, James!!!
Blabel, you now have competition for the "best Skurfer photo in the history of mankind" title, but I think you still have a slight edge due to the gloves.

I rode one two weeks ago behind a buddies 2.0. I couldn't pass an opportunity to combine the old and the new. It was awesome.
