We had another great houseboat trip this year. 2008 is already booked and has a full crew. 11 paid, but only 9 went this year (schedule conflicts). Next year we're at 13 already, so that means another tow boat should go. '01 SAN will probably make the trip with our '04 205v going again. I have pics! Paul, Those are awesome pics of your houseboat trip. We're seriously considering renting a house boat on Norris Lake next summer. Who do you rent from?

David, The marina is Beach Island Marina (aka Pennington 33 Bridge Marina... <a href="http://www.pennington33bridgemarina.com" target="_blank">www.pennington33bridgemarina.com</a> ). They are great people and we highly suggest them. We did ride too, although (speaking for myself) nothing stellar. Dang it looks like the lake is still way down!

The lake is down and dropping every day. We had to reposition the houseboat 2 times. It started to tilt so much the pocket doors would slide open/shut by themselves. It was dropping b/w 4-6" per day and is now below the 1000' level, which is already below winter pond levels...IIRC.

please quit showing pictures of that end of the lake....<img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/angry.gif" border=0> the other side is wayyyy better. there have been alot of water snakes this year on the clinch and it only seems to be getting worse, best bet is to stay on the powell side of the lake, or even better Dale Hollow has NO snakes. <img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/proud.gif" border=0> (Message edited by mikea on August 23, 2007)

Paul we rented from the same Marina a month ago. Good people and I swear we ended up in that same cove.
