When I fill up, unless I stand there and listen, fuel burps out. So i figure, I should invest in a few of these. what do you guys think? |
I wish they would just make tanks that don't puke fuel...
haha wouldnt that be great!?
Take some paper towels and wrap them around the spout on the fuel filler so it forms a tight seal when you stick it into the filler on the boat. No more fuel burping out....
what exactly is the difficulty about making tanks that don't burp? Both the boats I've owned have done it...if I leave the pump and go inside the station, I'll sometimes come back to a hose lying on the ground and a spillover of gas on the side of my boat. Never have heard or seen this on a car, why is it such a deal on boats?
I must be because of the long hose leading to the tank, its filled much quicker than the lead on most car/trucks and the nozzle cant stop the flow quick enough.
My truck sometimes does the same thing when filling up, it is the same concept im sure. plus the foam from the diesel adds to the problem. Beauty of it is, the diesel is actually good for the paint, the gas is pretty bad for the gel coat. |
Yea nothing will piss on your day more than being distracted by one of the rug rats and getting puked on. I have a pretty good system down now, after about the 3rd time I started telling the fam to get in the truck and leave me alone lol. Once I get past 3/4 of a tank I'm half throttle with the nozzle pulled half out the hole so I can see the foam ball rising. Hahahah
