GT-40 running lean/ injector cleaner?

I've got a '96 GT-40 in a Super Sport. When I winterized, the plugs were grey. A motorhead buddy of mine told me old injectors can clog up resulting in the lean condition. So the cheapest easiest thing to try first is dumping some injector cleaner in the tank. Lucas was his reccomendation. Is there any risk in damaging any fuel components? I know ethanol is a bad news, and am wondering if injector cleaners fall into this.

I use it in my fuel injected GT-40. Mechanic at CC dealership told me to do it.

If its made to go in the tank you will not hurt the fuel system, but it will clean hard deposits either. I had some dirty injectors on my ZR6 tried in the tank stuff didn't work. So I used this. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...500_AA300_.jpg

It plumbs straight into your fuel rail. You need to disconnect the return lines because the cleaner sold for these will take out your pump. Worked great no more probs after that
