New Rail Step down (flat to flat)

Hello,

We are building a new rail for our local wake park (here in Europe). The rail will be put down on the ground as the lake is not so deep (around 4 feet).

We are going to make a plastic tube (around 6inches) with these dimensions : 12 feet up (to get at 4feet high) then 20ft flat, then a 3ft 3/4in step down and then an other 40ft flat.

We will be welding square tube of 1 1/2in and 0 1/8in for the structure.

I put the plan on attached files. We are really stocked about the measurement of the rail it self but we are not really sure about the structure. Will it be enough or should we had more reinforcement ?

Thank you very much.

Jean

Triangles are your friend! I would suggest some diagonal bracing for each of the upright posts to keep it from racking. Other than that looks like a legit rail.

Looks like fun. Would like to see a kink at the end for a boost. And +1 to what Jason said about diagonal bracing.
