Has anybody who's used a wedged spacer really noticed any difference from stock? I have the carb off now and thinking about putting one on, but is it worth it?

I can say from experience with Holleys that it will definitely need float level adjustment, and that drastically affects how the boat runs. I think that I would sack it down in back at the dock so that the boat is at the same attitude that it would be when driving, then adjust the float level at idle. With a fire extinguisher handy! I don't have a carbed boat, but if I did I would probably try such a spacer, Holleys do funny things when they are tilted. It might run a bit rich when not moving due to the carb being tilted forward, but probably would not tend to lean out under load, which is the worst thing for your engine. I don't know if any or what manufacturers use wedged spacers, it may not be that important.
