Cruise Control issues
 

The cruise control in my 99 Chevy silverado 1500 recently went out. When I push the button to set it, nothing happens. Usually a light will pop up on the dash that says "cruise". But now, absolutely nothing happens. Does anyone have any ideas as to what it could be? I've checked the fuses/relay and everything checked out just fine.

first off which you probably already done turn the switch for cruise off then back on while its running. if thats not the problem the switch is probably gone bad. mine did a while back on my car and it was around 300 bucks to replace.

Yeah, i've tried that a few times. By switch, do you mean the part on the steering column/blinker handle? I'm not sure if I want it bad enough to throw down 300 bones towards a new switch. Is replacing the switch pretty straight forward?

Check your fuses too before going to buy anything.

^^ That was the first thing i checked and I didnt find any blown fuses
