hey guys the back and front edges of my board are peeling off, probably 4in in front and 2in in back, similar to what happens to snow boards w/ no front/back protection.

what is a quick fix for this, i've tryed water resistant superglue and it ends up peeling right back up.

also what do you use to clean your board?

Is it covered under warranty?

thane_dogg 06-06-2005 8:45 PM

yeah man, warranty that so next year they can make it better.

you think warrenty will cover? i figure its wear and tear... had it not quite a year, its an 04

should i contact the shop or LF directly to check on that?

(Message edited by mmobius2001 on June 06, 2005)

I had an old LF trip that peeled. I bought it at the end of the season. They covered it under warranty cause my receipt showed I owned it less than a year. They gave me a brand new trip of the next model year.

I was thinking of buying an 04 substance on clearance. Maybe I need to think twice. Is this common with this board?

Phil - they should cover it no matter what. No boards are supposed to do that, unless you just totally trashed the tip where it's peeling.

John - I owned a substance 141 the first year it was released (2003) for over a year, my girlfriend rode the 136 for over a year, and it was formerly a demo, mine '03 is still a demo at my local shop, and I'm now on an '04 138 that has more than a year of riding on it and I've never had or seen that happen.
